Quote:Jak I also got high bars on mine. Have a look at your throttle. On mine it is positioned on the bars so the cable comes out the bottom and under the brake lever mount.I have noticed other DRZ’s with the cables up top running over the top of the brake mount. If yours is like this you may find a couple cm if you turn it with the cables down bottom.
It works
Does having the cables underneath affect them in any way? They were originaly on top.

Quote:could you reroute the throttle cable differently along the frame to regain that 1.5/2 cms????Had a look at that and from what i see and know it looks fairly snug now.
The Great Ocean Road is one of those must drive roads in Australia. I’m only ten k’s from the start of it and have driven it a number of times. Unfortunately a few riders treat it as their own personal race track. Some of the shit i’ve seen is mind blowing. For cars it is a fairly slow trip with all the bends so some riders get impatient and overtake risking their lives. I’m surprised there are not more deaths on this road. As sad as it is, its not surprising.

mechanical failure/failure of some sort. Would never happen to a DRZ.

Holds just over 18 litres. It looks a lot bigger than it actually is. The wing part are fairly slim.
How many klms do you get from it mate?
I rekon i could get 300k’s out of it. Although i’ve never been close to testing it. That figure comes from a ride i done which was pretty hard riding for 170k’s. I cant remember exactly how much fuel i used but i remember i worked out i should get 300k’s.

Exert from David “Mick” Attenborough’s documentary.
Hello there. If we are all very quiet, we can get up nice and close to observe one of these great beasts in its natural environment. While not the quickest beast, it is renowned for its slow but predictable gait and hence this allows me to approach with relative safety. You may notice the red markings on this beast. This indicates this fella has reached puberty and is now looking for a mate, although there are not to many of he’s kind left in the wild and other breeds are just to quick for him to be able to keep his breed from extinction. Alas, it is only a matter of time before this poor fella disappears for good.
