I’m planning to be going past there next weekend and could probably detour to have a look. Or come along yourselfI have just mapped the route tonight and have not run these tracks before so we’ll see how we go.
If there s any interest out there to join me for an explore.. post up.
lotsa
Sorry Lotsa,
I have misunderstood your post :pinch: :blush:Done this a few times now, will have to pull my head in and not jump the gun
Hi Lotsa,
If the rides open to anyone I would be interested. Is it an overnight ride or just a day ride
To be honest I am not even sure where Youdales hut is,so don’t know if I live to far away to begin with to even go on this ride. ๐ with other family commitments on weekends :pinch:

Teknik wrote:As some of you know i’ve been working on my own it the workshop for a month or so. I’ve been advertising for a mechanic but have only had one applicant that was not suitable.
While the 12-14 hour days and 6 to 7 days a week was OK for a short while it’s time i faced reality that i probably wont find a mechanic. I may put an apprentice on this year but they won’t be much of a help for at least 12 months.
So I’ve decided to only work 5 days as the body is not liking the hours and the mind is pretty tired as well. If you need something outside of those hours just call Leanne of myself and we’ll work something out.
NickHey Nick,
Life is way too short to be spending that many hours at work :pinch:Even if your lucky enough to be one of the few people passionate about your work its still work
We only go round once so we all need to spend our time wisely and being chained to the wheel trying to please clients, meet deadlines,be successful does come at a cost.Good to see you have come to your senses and are going to give yourself more time away from work
I know it works for me  only downside is lack of funds for new toys ๐
Hey atgreg,
Welcome to OBT,I myself am relatively new to the site but have met a few Oldbulls and can say that they are a great crowd
Bet your looking forward to getting the new toy.Nice picture, where is it
Really enjoyed that Crash, well done and thanks for putting in the effort to make it.

We have given ourselves three days to get to Birdsville, will attend the spreading of Tug boat Bill’s ashes and raise a glass. From there we will head to the corner to catch up with a couple of Old Bulls and raise a glass. Then into SA, maybe even Vic and a Hattah crossing before blasting home.
Looking forward to visiting Hungerford, Thargomindah, and Noccundra to mention a few places I have yet to visit. Pete and Crash havenโt been west on the big bikes yet. Crash has the bling new blue Tenere, Pete is itching to go. I canโt wait, again not long ago it seemed an age away. Tonight as I finalised the routes for the three of us and the others going to the Corner I realised it is getting closer fast.
There are 2 months, 13 days, 6 hours, 28 minutes and 58 seconds remaining until we leave and that will go faster than your love for a new KTM :laugh:TB
Why did you have to post this TB,couldnt you have kept it to yourself
Between you and Kat and these fantastic trips you guys seem to frequently go on I cant help feeling hard done by ๐
One day,one day.
To funny,Eagle.
Isnt it strange how human nature makes us defensive of our decisions re bike purchases
Even if we may have some regrets about a bikes performance capability we choose to defend it and ignore its shortcomings.
Just to clarify not meaning you specifically  we all do it. ๐

She deserves a rest after last weekend anyway :laugh:It got a good clean on Tuesday arvo, probably Air filter etc tomorrow
If you get a decent bike Eagle you won’t need to rest it
TB
He mustn’t be home TB
Put a new air filter in the Tenere and cleaned the old one.
Tomorrow its off with the rear brake pedal and a couple of hits on the anvil to straighten it.
Wolfman wrote:Ya Boys… and GAL!! What a cracker of a ride. It is rides like these that I remember why I do this shit. Riding at your own pace with a couple of mates at you side, knowing that strung out in front and behind are “cluster-f@cks”… oops I mean… Clusters or small groups of riders managing their own ride.TB, the NAV ride’s are the future old mate. I don’t care if I never do another corner man ride again after this weekend. Well done mate and hats off to everyone elase who came along. Jim for taking on such a ride for his first big Adventure Ride, Aaron for being Jim’s wingman. Peter Payne and Jason barrett for being part of an Industry that supports this sort of thing and actually “being there”… Amy who is the best Adventure Gal since Annie Oakley. And lastly Chicken for being support as you never know when you are going to need the truck and trailer and I know what it is like to be driving when I could be riding
Can’t wait for the next one and looking forward to catching some of you guys on the Scrapheap.
Wolfy
Too true Steve, couldnt have done it without him.I am certain he must have been stinging to charge a bit harder on the journey, still I know he thoroughly enjoyed the ride and company of some new mates in the OBT ranks.
By the way his name is Erin,I know red hair and a girls name poor buggar
A lot of people were calling him that on the trip he usually just goes by the name Ez.
See you soon for tyres.
Cheers James
