This one from the Kowen forest ride rates for me. The vid is a little long but the down and up hill bits start from the 2.10 mark, down was a bit sketchy but up freakin shocking (or at least I was

You could try a bit of silastic, a bit undr the rip to glue it to the foam and a smear over the top. Just something I thought of but I have never tried it to know if it works.

Geeez that statement will open me up for ridicule I suppose. :SYou still ride a penny farthing Mick, you just change the name to “HONDA”
Hatto
I spose you are right Hatto, the XR does have a big wheel at the front and a smaller one on the back.
We must all be riding Penny Farthings then 😆
I saw on MXTV the other day that the Fro was quicker around the track on a DRZ250E than he was on the 390
Happy Birthday Aaron, hop you had a good one mate
I’m still keen for a set thanks Chris

That looks like the area I filled Eagle in at
Thats my jumper, I can live without it for a while, might go for a ride up there next week just to pick it up.
A very wet ride at times but still better than not riding.
Eagle turned up smack on 2.30 like he said he would and after waiting around for 15 minutes or so I decided to give TB a call and see where he and Boulder were, they had just finished lunch at Kitcheber Pub so Eagle and I went insde and watched an episode of MXTV I had taped. After it finished we geared up and the guys turned up. I lead tem out through Millers Forest and out through Seaham to Clarence town on the tar, I had a dirt section in mind but with all the rain there was a creek crossing I was worried about and so cut that bit out. Out through Clarence town towards Stroud and detoured for a bit of dirt riding. The dirt roads were for the most part in good nick and there is one really nice flowing section that TB particularly said he enjoyed. We had to clear a tree off the track at one point but other than that it was plain sailing. Back out onto the tar and into Stroud we headed off onto the track that TB had worked out which met up with alsmost the identical track that I had come up with only his started from stroud and mine started just out of stroud.
The riding was good to start with but after a while we came to a bit of a nasty bog hole, Boulder and I road through and were trying to point TB to the easiest way through. Boulder said that he would get through it ok but I pointed to the rutted clay hill ahead and said that I was more worried about it. Boulder suggested I head up for a look ad I made it up easier than I thought, about half way up t started to rain which made the top surface really greasy but I was still going up with no problems. Once I got past the worst of it I relaxed and was looking behind me for a second when the back slipped into a minor rut and just kept going around, so down I went. I walked back down a ways to see if anyone was coming and there was boulder flapping about coming up, the rain had made it very slimey. Tb had turned around and so I had to walk back up to the bike to come down again. We headed out of Stroud on the tar and headed off road again on my route but it only joined up to where we had turned around again. I punched in Buladelah on the GPS by the shortest route and thathad us on the dire for a few K’s before popping back out onto the tar around Booral. From there it was tar all the way into Bully, I was just starting to have some fun as we were riding through some nice twisty sections when the rain came down again (always at the best parts of the ride) and had to ease off on the best part. I was riding along with my visor part opened to avoid fogging up when ands I could still barely see, so I popped it up a bit more and looked under it only to realise it wasn’t my visor fogging up, it was just fog. By this point TB and Boulder were in the lead so we missed the chance at a little more dirt that would have brought us into Bully from the other side. As had become tradition of late, first stop was the pub where we garabbed our takeaways and headed for the house boats. The evening was full of laughs and the pub put on a good feed, the coutesy bus driver was dangerous as he was more interested in talking than looking at what he was doing  .
The rain had been coming down since about 5.00 without a break and only got heavier as the night wore on, the next morning it hadn’t improved and the decision was made to save the ride for another day. After saying our goodbyes and refueling, Eagle and I headed back retracing our path from the day before into Stroud, the were a couples of creek crossings invovled and the first one was a bit of a worry. It was only about 4 or 5 meters across but was probably close to half a meter deep and flowing fast but we got througfh without any drama. Once in Stroud I took Eagle on a bit of a detour through the back streest and onto a dirt road before heading back out toward Dungog and turning off into black camp road again. From there we headed towards clarence town where I again diverted a different way from the previous day with some more dirt back into Seaham and home again. The heaviest rain of the day was between Seaham and home.
I can’t wait to get up that way again and do some exploring.
A couple of pictures from day 2 only, the first 1 shows the rain on the river and you can see on the far bank that there are rails sticking up out of the water from a jetty that is submerged and the other is of a creek where the water is up to the bridge.
Happy Birthday Gary
It’s all over, too much rain.
Oh yeah
Piss off Boony
