Just give it a go and take it easy for a while unti you get the feel of it. If you like it keep it, if not change it back but like Mick said, get out of the shed and ride.
I like what you have done with the ignition. I had the same problem when I fitted bar raisers to my DRZ, mine is only held in place with a cable tie now, might have to encroach on your copyright © Krusty
I woke up at 2.30 this morning thinking about the trip. :woohoo: I’m excited!!!!!!!
I would be looking along the KLX450 line too, plenty of tourque and grunt yet smoother delivery and so easier to control than a WR or EXC.
F#%$ me Bollocks, thats a menu and a half, I’ll just have the half
Disappointing for Pep but maybe safer for the food
, (inside joke from those at Nundle there). Gaz, I might suggest earplugs for the trip mate
Hopefully we wont need headlights Mick, except maybe for Sunday morning when there up at the crack of a fairy’s fart like kiddies at christmas.
Other than that if we ride in the dark Moose and I can ride side by side so he can ride in my lights

Might be a silly question but better to be sure, has anyone organised accomodation for Condo or are we meant to organise our own?
Well the last of the preperations have been done (I think    ), both tyres fitted last week and thought it was all done but woke up in the middle of the night last night remembering that I still only had the rubber road foot pegs on. Came up with a brilliant idea today though (even if I do say so myself, and I do  :silly: :woohoo: ). Got home this arvo and checked to see if my brilliant and somewhat cunning plan would work and eureka, took the pegs off the DRZ and fitted straight onto the Veestrom, guess I wil have to organise some pivotpegz through Sutto’s when I get back. While I was out there I thought it woud be a good idea to give her a wash and polish (should make it easier to get the bloody locusts off when I get back
), She’s looking all pretty now
.
Also got into the spending habit again over the weekend, new boots, new helmet and new tank bag/camera bag. Just a small one for the camera’s, wallet and a few other bits and pieces. Boots turned up today (got ’em off e-bay) and look the poo I reckon.Couple of Pic’s
New Boots
New Helmet
Old Pegs
Replacement Pegs
Sexy new Tank/Camera Bag
Fresh Rubber
Fresh wash and polish and looking fine
Just need to repack everything and I’m ready. :woohoo: :woohoo:
Jeez Bruce you must be worked up, never seen so many typing errors from you before

Quote:Just my two cents worth but I just stick the number plate in my camelback so its visible through the mesh.I am in NSW so it may not apply but I got pulled over for having my plate on my backpack, I told him it had ripped off in a fall on the day (ya gotta think on ya feet some times
) and that was the only place I could put it where it could be seen. He let mego but said it was illegal and to mopunt it properly before my next ride.
You gotta watch the power of the zooks mate, especially when your not used to it.
I have been using the same mount plastic mount for over 12 months now and probably have done a few thousand K’s, mine too is a bit loose and wobbles aroud a bit. I have a lanyard on mine that I tie off to the bar or the clutch cable, I came off the first time I used the GPS and it came loose from the mount but the lanyard saved me losing it. I bought an aluminium holder that is meant to clamp to the cross bar but the Veestrom doesn’t have a cross bar
G’day Dan, welcome to the site. Where are you from?
