Anything around that will be fine, I rode mine the other day for a quick run and wound it out to almost 150 before I backed off, that was pretty close to the limit. So going on Krusty’s workings, what I said is about right. 14/42 to 15/44 there is very little difference, only 0.2 of a kmh so don’t stress over it too much.
In answer to your question, yes. There is only a 1 tooth difference in the 2 but the bigger front will wear less on the chain.

1 front is roughly 3 rear Nick, I have changed mine to 14/42 and would have no worries about running to the corner at that.

TBI expect I will start thinking about thinking about what I will be taking on the trip.
I do have a short list of things to take though
1 Bike
1 Rider
1 Swag:blush: after that it gets a bit vague. :silly: 😆 :woohoo: :side:
I’d probably drink more.
I only got back into bikes about 5 years ago after not having ridden since those oh so long ago teenage years. Can’t think what I did to amuse myself before that. Could be the fact that I had a wife before the bikes started again and so didn’t have a life to think back on.
I was into fishing 10 years ago, wasn’t as exciting as bikes but is an option. Maybe pick up the guitar again or get back into karate. I used to sleep away plenty of Saturday and Sunday afternoons, could always go back to that.
Interest expressed, check. Confirmation sent, check. Expectations primed, check. Cabin booked, check.
BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:
Some of us made it, Giselle and I road to Morpeth for breakfast then out through Kurri, Cessnock, Wollombi and Broke on our way to Denman. Had a nice lunch and rode back through Singleton to Maitland and home, all on the tar but still a nice ride even if it was a bit cold. The Strom went like a trooper (Stromtrooper that is
)all day, I will have to get the rear beefed up a bit though, managed to bottom out a couple of times on some of the bigger bumps with the 2 off us on getting up around the 200kg mark most of it me. I now know I can get close to 400Km to a tank even with a big load on which will be good for the corner ride.
She looks good Ian, just got to watch the band when wheelstanding, especially on the tar, you would have seen the result from the Pokolbin ride

Me thinks Mr Boon is trying to scare someone off the ride so he can get on.Sorry mate, you snooze, you lose
I may ride out with Giselle and meet you at Denman for lunch, will see if she is up for it when I see her later.
I have been told that more than once
Seriously though, I have force radiator guards and the horn fits fine. mines an 07 model but that shouldn’t make any difference.
No worries mate, you gotta go with the numbers
I’ll give it a miss this time guy’s. Was gonna spend Saturday with Giselle and ride Sunday but she is working Saturday so that will be my ride day instead. Will have to find a local ride to amuse myself.
The new bike only has road tyres at the moment, some of those trails my be a bit tricky in road mode. This ride would be a biggest days out ride all rolled into one day for me I think.
