I had fitted the rear to mine a couple of weeks ago and am very happy with the grip levels. I used to run a Dunlop D606 which is a harder compound for longer life but found the grip levels weren’t as good as I wanted. Before I had trouble getting the front wheel off the ground in the gravel as there was too much wheel spin and not enough grip, but with the Pirelli I had no problems.
Still running an M12 on the front which looks like it’s near done, I looked at it before my last ride and thought it would have to be changed soon but it still holds really well. I think the more it wears, the better it gets. (to a point obviously
)
You can’t ride and eat at the same time mate, or smoke for that matter. Get out for a blast after work of you can, then clean the bike and gear, clean yourself and before you know it, you have gotten to dinner time without any extra eating. And Gum, sugar free of course.
Yeh mick, it has had a fair impact on all our lives. Well done to Chris and TB for setting it up and to everyone who participates for making it what it is.

STMIf you worked where I do you get a paid holiday for your birthday.
Happy Birthday King Crash and Chiefgili, I hope it’s a good one for you with big drinks and small hangovers.
If 1 on the front is equal to 3 on the rear, then it should be the same. We can compere one day when we ride together.
I/m running 13/47 Boony and find it good for all terrain. Down at the Kowen Forest ride there was some really tight single thrpough the pine trees, some rocky hills and some nice flowing trails and it did it all with no drama’s. Can’t say the same about the rider though
.
Wheel stands in 3rd gear without too much trouble as well.
You only a 65 model Mick, F@#K the durries have been hard on you.
Sorry, couldn’t help myself
He should have been out riding, it’s much safer.
Hope it heals well for you mate.
I went to a Dio gig many years ago in Sydney and saw him again when he was here with Black Sabbath a couple of years ago here in newcastle. His voice was still as strong as ever.
I don’t want to keep harping on about it but,,,,,,,,,,WHERE ARE THE OTHER VIDEOS??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the urge hits you in your shed Mick just have another beer instead. I kept drinking when I gave up and my wife still smoked and tried to tepmt me with them. I remeber one time when she walked up behind me and reached around with a lit cigarette and put it in my mouth. I had 1 little puff and that was enough to keep the cravings away for the rest of the nigt. It had been a week or 2 by then though.
The important part for me was getting the right mind set, every time i tried to give up before I would talk myself out of it by telling myself I didn’t realy want to give up and that I was just doing it because other people said I should.
I had a bad craving one day and used that lne on myself about not really wanting to give up and was heading for the car to go and get some. But on the way to the car I realised that I really did want to give up and it seemed to get easier from there.Keep at it mate, I went 5 or 6 years without a cold, the flyu or even a sniffle when I gave up. I used to get at least 2 colds every winter when I smoked, so there’s another incentive.
Actually Mr Blue makes a good point about diet rest and exercise as fatigue will play a big part in your ability to concentrate. When things are going a bit off, stop, rehydrate and refuel the body which will help to regain focus.
We looked at doing that ride a while back and found out there is a locked gate somewhere along the way.

Quote:You won’t regret it jak , it made a big difference today and was real good to use a back brake on STMs single track!May have to get some myself, I have hardly used my rear brake in the past because it had no feel. On Saturday it felt like I had no back brake at all. Then again I am still on the original pads after 3 years so maybe I don’t
