I have used the Dunlop D606 rear on my DRZ which I know is not the most powerful of weapons but I quite like it, I already have a scorpion sitting in the shed ready for the next change but would use the Dunlop again only with the D605 which is a bit softer compound now that I have the TA for the road ride work.
Having trouble uploading the video’s to photobucket, it has always been slow but I am having Modem troubles I think as it keeps dropping out and I need to restart the modem to get back on.
Not long home Eagle, need to sort out the video, I have nearly 2 hours of footage that needs editing. Beamer wont be home until tomorrow. Day 1 was a big one for me, did both loops, North first being the hardest and got good footage of my shocking hill climb attempt. Very tight twisting course, 1.5 hours for 40km with only maybe 10 minutes stopped time. South after lunch, not quite as technical but longer, 1 hour 55 minute and only 6 minutes of stopped time for about 60km. Blackberry tunnel was nothing on Saturday as it was almost dry and IO didn’t get to it on Sunday after overnight rain due to a flat tyre. Will do a proper report when time permits.
Welding cold won’t cause brittleness on aluminium (it is aluminium isn’t it?)unless it is a particularly exotic type which I don’t believe swing arms are, if anything it would cause a soft spot as it is annealing the parent material and the filler material is likely to be softer as well. In any case the swing arm will be fine after repair Dan.
Big effort Crash, well done. A lesser man might have given up with all the drama’s you had. Well done mate.

Hey Jeffro, while you are in Melbourne you should take your bike and get Menace to give you a “Tour de Glenmaggie”Don’t know if I will be able to get it on the plane Mick
Don’t know if I will be able to make this ride now. Was given the arse at work today after 24 years at the company due to a lack of work(bastards). Notice given at 8.30am, had a new job sorted by 9.30am. Start Monday week but the 1st assignment will be in Melbourne fixing up there big ferris wheel thingy for a few weeks. Hopefully I will be back in time though, don’t count me out yet.
I blame my mouse for not being able to keep up with my brilliant reflexes

Geez Bol, what is it with you and sticks, that’s the second close encounter with one this month.

Leave your rags at home this time mate
He was on here yesterday LC, just playing possum. Happy Birthday Mick
:woohoo: Awesome stuff there Bol, looks/sounds like a top ride. Bring on the vids
Oohh, hows the shoulder?
Just realised that the NX probably runs a 520 chain doesn’t it. That would rule out using one of those sprockets I would think.
