You are dominating the posts lately there Eage’s, as I type this you have 5 of the 10 most recent posts  :laugh:Congrats Dan, 1500 posts and some of them war and peace type saga’s, maybe that’s how you can catch up to Boony and Beag’s, spread your ride reports over a few more posts
 . Good stuff Mate.
Sadly this is all the pictorial evidence I have of todays ride.
Tim of the Jungle
It was a nice little ride today with a mix of fire trail and singles. The singles around awaba are brilliant, nice and loamy winding in and out of the trees and up and down the hills and gullies. Murph and I both had a little trouble on the same hill but Tim just coasted up like it was nothing. The Murphs single was nice too and I thought I got some video footage of it but apparently not. When we came out of the single I checked the helmet cam and it said there were 2 videos which would have been right as I turned it off at one point while Murph got ready to take a couple of happy snaps, then turned it back on once we got going again. After that I set it to take multiple photo’s (I thought) but when I got home there was nothing on the memory card so I don’t know what’s going on there.
Murph was very appolagetic about having to cut the day short but I think Tim was glad of it and now that I have sat and cooled off a bit, it was the best for me as well as I have a few aches and pains.
Only got one photo which is of Tim emerging from the jungle where we had to divert around a tree across the track, will post it once I have uploaded to photobucket. Thanks for a good ride Murph and Tim
hey when did you get the trials bike?
Sorry to go off topic
What time Murph
Well I went riding and had fun today, no pictures so not worth doing a report but I will say I took on some hills that I ought not have done on my own and did pretty well (for me anyway). It wasn’t boring at all.
To steal a line from Queen, “get on your bikes and ride” thats what I’m about to do.
Time for bed I think Murph
(:
Yeah mate, it has the heated grips but I couldn’t get them working when I was out there. Had a look when I got home and I just needed to hold the button down a bit longer, I held it down for about 3 seconds while I was out there but it turns out I need to hold ot for 4 or 5 second before they come on so they haven’t been tested yet. Off road would be limited to fire trails with the weight of it (not to mention my skill level) but considering the tyres and the coditions it went pretty well.
I assume this is the thursday ride so sign me up Murph, lookin’ forward to it. I will have a little practice ride on my own tomorrow to try and get back into the swing of it.
Sounds good Murph, pm your address as well if it’s on.
First things first, nobody told me there was a no bike rule
Yes I brought a bike but it was on the ute and didn’t get ridden. Thanks all for a good afternoon, the food was great (TB is a hell of a cook, just ask him)and the company was excellent. Looking forward to the next time.
November 26, 2009 at 12:31 am in reply to: 2009’s Best ride you had / went on rode/ ripped up #162800Unfortunately I missed alot of great rides through work but 2 of the best I did were the longest days out, particularly the return leg. Not sure of the other one but I think it was the aborted Denman ride where we went out through putty and did a big loop around and back to the putty halfway house. Both for not only the qualty of the tracks and the company but also because i felt i rode fairly well on them.
