I won’t be welding Moto, just inspecting their welding. I will only be in Jakarta for the 1 night then out to Cilegon. I was thinking I could do a couple of weekends in the capitol but I think I will see if thing quieten down first now.

Hopefully they have had their “fun” now and will crawl back into their hole for a while now.

I wouldn’t worry about stress relieving it Blue, if you don’t get it right you will aneale the whole thing. Aluminium actually work hardens, that is the more you bend and shape it the harder it gets.

Another problem you can have bending it is if you overheat it, it will tear instead of bend. I had that problem at work once where I was bending 10mm Al around a jig with heat and it kept tearing, so I made the next one hotter and it tore even worse, so the next time I applied the minimum heat I could to pull it around with no problem.

I had a front tyre once that I thought was pretty good, but that was compared to the flogged out one it replaced. I sold the bike not too long after I put it on so I can’t say tto much about it.

I am starting to think terorists don’t like me, here I am 5 days from arriving in Jakarta and there have been 2 or 3 bombing attacks. There was that Bombing attack at Glasgow airport in 2007 a couple of days before I arrived there as well.

I hope I don’t end up as a “person of interest” with my record of turning up after attacks. Still better than being there for them.
