I road to work this morning wearing just a vest type jacket and a raincoat over the top just to see if it would be enough to keep me warm for the early morning start of the ride. Left home at 5.30 and got to work about 5.55, hands were just starting to feel the cold with road bike gloves on, other than that it was good. I was thinking I would wear my heavy Jacket but I think I will leave that at home now.
I fitted the new tyre and new brake pads while I had the wheel off, had a bit of trouble getting the the tyre to push up onto the bead lip properly though. I tried some WD40 and that didn’t work then added some grease and that didn’t work, then added some silicon spray and finally got it on with about 80PSI. I don’t remember having that much trouble before.
Tank still hasn’t arrived . Originally I was just going to change sprockets to get the distance but I don’t like the power drop that comes with it, which is why I went for the tank. Anyway if it doesn’t turn up I will go back to plan A, it was fine on the caves ride.

The teacher asked the class how to use the word contagious in a sentence,,,,,,

Let me tell you it was not worth the grief.
I am going to get a new tyre this arvo – I am going to try an MX retread for this trip. On the MX retread site they say they are the bee’s knee’s and it would have to be true as it is on the internet:laugh:
I said to put it back when you were finished.

Apparently he sent it on Monday (even though I ordered it on Thursday  ) so hopefully it will arrive today or tomorrow. I want to have a ride with before Saturday to make sure the fuel gets through ok just in case I pinch the hose or something when I put it all together. Worst case scenario if it turns up at the last minute I can just strap it on and transfer the fuel manually when I run out. All will be good though I am sure.
I like the furry little guy, he gives the place some more character and his nice spell just adds to the excitment of the site waiting to see what happens next.

Maybe,,,, Maybe. Never say never.
There you go, now it’s a ride report,,,, now that it’s got pichers.
I will be arriving Friday morning sometime I think, I am not working that day, but I am staying in a cottage down the road somewhere. My partner has the details I hope.
 I haven’t seen it yet, I just sent off an email this morning asking them to confirm they have shipped it.
 Did I see Tracy with her bum off the seat, very good, I’m impressed, you go girl :cheer: :cheer: . (Not with her bum but the fact it was offf the seat)
Just looked at the Motels and the Bathurst Motor Inn has Budget rooms for $70 for a single.
