I have one of those chain breakers from Balards. I tried using it to press the side plate on but when I push on 1 pin it doesnt close up on the other one enough to get the clip on, and when I tried it in between the pins it bent the plate before closing it enough to get the clip on.

I just ordered the joining tool (after reading your post) so hopefully I will have better luck.

Welcome Julian, lets hope your next old bull experience lasts a bit longer than the last one. There are a couple fo rides on this weekend in the Watagans, you can choose your grade level as well. Where else are you gonna get such choice?

I could be up for the ride Trent, have you set a start place and time yet? I just need to get a new chain, I took the smaller sprocket off that I put on for the caves ride and put the bigger one back on but the chain is too short now :angry: (I had to shorten it for the smaller one). Will comfirm friday.

No worries Boulder, it won’t be for a little while yet though, probably another month or so. I have car rego, insurance and a few other bills all coming in together draining the funds, not to mention a couple of teenagers that always seem to have there hand out for something. :angry: 😆
