All right then, it’s all up to Dan to do his part of the report. Come on Dan! :cheer:
What sort of gear is everyone wearing on this ride, the usual motorcross type gear or more road ride getup? (No i’m not worried about turning up in the same oufit as someone else, honest  )

Quote:Hey Jeffro, you and Eagle are quite welcome to come early and have a hearty breakfast with us. Just let me know before Friday afternoon so that I make sure that I have enough for everyone. I am thinking that in order for us to leave at 8 I will have breakfast ready at 7. If you don’t want to come that early I will just keep some warm for you for when you get here. Thanks for the offer but I was only stirring, I would have to get up far too early for that.
Bring it on boys and girls :silly:

Quote:hey jeffrowe spotted a, what looked to be intact, fan belt lying on martinsville hill road whilst riding up for lunch. it was just past the hair pin, which is just past the wishing well. we left it there as someone may want it back.
It wasn’t mine mate, the remains of mine were still under the bonnet.
I have a couple of pic’s of the tricky early hill and the dodgy bridge i’ll try putting up today.

I remember Ollie saying something about catching his foot on a log or stump or something at one stage, he said at the time he thought he may have broken something.
I hope the boys had a better arvo than I did, snapped the fan belt in the car on the way down the mountain. I managed to limp back to Avondale servo with no steering (some of those hairpin turns were a struggle)and a bit (make that a lot)of overheating. Problem being that nothing was open on Anzac day. Road into Morriset but no joy there, got back to the car and it had cooled down so drove to Freemans waterhole and left the car there and rode home. Rode back today with new belt only to find the water pump has seized, had to get it towed home.
The morning ride was good though, although a bit shorter than I would have liked. Only one semi-dificult hill which I managed to make more difficult by baulking at the only real obstical, other than that there was some cool singles and some flowing open tracks. I will upload a couple of photo’s tomorrow if I get a chance at work (I don’t have my photobucket password here at home)tomorow.
It might be a good idea to try and organise some track maintenance, all that riding with my head on the handle bars ducking under branches gets in the way of some great riding. If we all spent 1/2 an hour on our favourite tracks when we went out it could make for more enjoyable riding.
here, here Mick
LEST WE FORGETI’d like to join in on this one if I may, I won’t join you for the bbq though. Where is the meeting point & at what time?
