I can’t help but agree with what has already been said here. I have had some awesome times and fantastic memories thanks to OBT and those I have met.

Thanks TB, Chris, Mick and all the moderators for keeping it together.

    Thanks Guys.

I am not sure there will be any riding over here, it is only a small island from what I can gather but with a big population.

Sorry about not getting a beer with you Eagle, I left some stuff a bit late and was flat out trying to get things finished and organised before I left. I missed out on a beer with a few people actually.

Thats unreal HB, great find thanks for sharing. I cant believe he comes out of the corners in such a high gear, it labours for a fraction of a millisecond and then he clutches it and it launches :woohoo:

    TB

I wonder if that is where he is losing time to the other guys. I have noticed when he and Villapoto corner close together that Villapoto seems to be back on the gas half a meter or so sooner.

I think from memory I ran 15/42 gearing on mine for longer rides.

    A last video from me.

This was a great single that I think everyone enjoyed, it just flowed really nicely cutting back and forth through the trees.

I was behind G Mac for a lot of it when I could keep up. He peddled the DRZ well all day and never stopped smiling whether he was on the bike or under it.

Thanks for cutting out the offs I had through those sections   .

I was so tired by then watching the vid i can see where I should have been standing up etc but trust me just keeping the bike upright at that stage was all I could do.

I wish I could go faster through those singles.

Just in the process of putting up some OG cam.

I was saving the offs for a highlight reel :D 👿

The main problems for you were too much rear brake at times which meant the rear wheel slid with the camber or slope of the trail causing you to slip sideways. I rarely touch the back brake on downhills, I just let the engine compression look after the back and I concentrate on the front brake.

The other was not enough momentum for getting over obstacles. Uphill or downhill, momentum is your friend (except when you need to stop in a hurry).

All in all though I think you did very well for someone with your limited experience.

    How is the hand?

    Another video.

This was late in the day on the way home (thus the song choice) following Oldgirl.

A pretty big day out on the bike today with some great trails and great people. Personally I am knackered

Thanks to Murph and Time for leading and Adam and Stu for sweeping.

I got my first look at Amazon and was tempted to have a go but with my trip to Indo coming up shortly I decided to err on the side of caution. I went there in 2010 after braking a bone in my foot on a ride and didn’t want to go through that again.
I had one fall early in the day when a stump in the grass caught me out but other than that I rode fairly well although I did take the easy option a couple of times early in the day.

I must apologise to Oldgirl after talking her out of turning back to the road when she was struggling late in the day. It wasn’t long after that she hurt herself. On the plus side you rode some trails today that you probably thought you couldn’t and will be better for the experience.

I got heaps of video but the light rain and dust means a lot of it is useless but I will cobble together what I can.

I also got a new camera this week which takes up to 12 continuous shots and got a couple of good ones at the bottom of Amazon.
