OllieGood pick up there Ollie, you wouldn’t want to crush that against something and have to get home with no front brake
If you have everything you need then the cost is not that great compared to a “normal” holiday.
If you were to camp out most nights then accommodation isn’t a great cost. The guys on this trip are doing some big km days so maybe 2 tanks of fuel a day, then food and drink. Bike prep and maintenance costs would come into it but generally that is money you would have spent anyway if you maintain your bike properly.
Like you said James, there are a lot of variables from person to person but you would be looking at probably around $200 a day.

G’day Oldgirl,
I am heading off overseas for work for a couple of years, that’s the plan at least, it just depends if I like it ot not.
I wouldn’t mind joining this ride Murph, it could be my last for a while.
Well done Bol.
Every one of them clear, concise, informative and entertaining no doubt
Nice Ecks.
I had Jay do the suspension on my old DRZ and my Veestrom a couple of years ago, he is only 5 minutes from my place. Same price too $650 each, I don’t know what he did though, whether it was just heavier springs or any re-valving I couldn’t say.
The DRZ was a much better bike to ride afterwards, it generally started going where I pointed it.
The Veestrom seemed ok until I got on the loose stuff on the Cameron Corner ride. Then it became deadly shaking all over the place. I thought I was gone the first time it happened, I was hooking along doing about 110 when we hit a sandy patch.
I had adjusted the clickers for the rear to compensate for the gear I was carrying before I left, turns out I should have left it alone.
Perhaps putting the mis into adventure
They are looking a little lost.
Sorry Gav, I missed it.
Happy brithday for yesteday mate.
G’day Rob, welcome to OBT.
I have the Garmin 60csx and find it easy to use o the run and easy to load routes or tracks on, the weak point is the screen size which some people have trouble seeing on the run.
Looks like a good time is being had by all.
Hey Eag’s, you do realise you can zoom in on web pages to readthe small writing don’t you?
razzle wrote:I think one of those OBT bike stickers should be automatically sent to any member with 175+ post and 5 +”Thanks” ….. maybe? They are sexy stickers! 😆
Mate it took me a few years to get one of them.
There is a banner ot 2 floating around but maybe some smaller flags might be the go if it can be done cheap enough.
Can’t do Sunday Justo, if it had been Saturday I would be there.
Here’s hoping all the problems are over before you started.
Good luck guys, have a great trip.
