I am in for the Berry Patch Boony.

I also agree with The King, 7k’s of black is nothing and the easy dirt trails make for a bit of a warm up.

The old gave it a wack and see what happens trick, good for so many mechanical issues :D

I had that problem with my DRZ a few times when I had been working away for a couple of months at a time. Mine even stopped running but the fuel kept on pouring out onto the ground. A few taps and away it went again.

Drain the bowl while your at it Razzle.

I drove past there a couple of hours ago wishing I had my bike with me.

I had a taller seat that came on the Berg when I bought it, it also had 25mm bar risers. I tried swapping back to the standard seat to see the difference but didn’t find it noticeable really.

    I am 6′ 2”.

It’s not ideal but I guess you could leave it on for protection while riding then take it off when you want to use it if it isn’t too much of a hassle.

It would mean carrying an allen key with you everywhere, not ideal for a 100 dollar investment

    TB

    That’s what I said :D

It is just an option so you haven’t completely wasted your money.

Geez King Bol, I reckon there might have to be some beheading done. I can’t believe the plebs didn’t clear the trails for you.

    OFF WITH THERE HEADS!!!

Thanks Jeffro and Ollie, good info.

As mentioned in my other thread, yesterday’s Blat didn’t happen … but I’ve checked the area out on Google Maps and I’ll get maps from the camping shop today. Might take Wednesday or Thursday off work as a “me day” and go for it :woohoo:

Always good to get a bit of “me time”.

in reply to: What did you do to your bike today? #229142

The only thing I did to mine today was to ride it, I have been working on some new singles and linking some old ones that have only become accessible recently after probably 20 years due to some recent civil works. It is only a small area probably less than 2 square kilometers but just enough for the occasional quick 1 or 2 hour blast. I have spent probably 5 or 6 hours clearing the way.
It is not a designated NP or SF, just crown land and the vast majority of what I had to clear was lantana anyway.

You can head south out of kempsey and head into the bush on youor left once you get past the road works. I had a quick run through there once on my Tenere, it’s reasonably flat and not such a bif area that you would get lost. Maria River state forest, head in at railway Dam road.

You can also get there off Crescent head road

Have a look on google maps to get an idea of the layout.

Made up a mounting bracket and fitted a Vapor speedo. Still have to wire it up yet though.
