Thats dead sexy Amy, very cool graphics.

So it turns out that the dunes are still partially closed, only the dunes south of lavis lane are open to traffic. All dunes north to Anna Bay are still closed with only beach front access.
With that in mind it may be better to postpone this for another time however I still want to go riding. If those that are coming still want to continue with it then we can or if someone has a better idea lets hear it.

Thankd Mick but that is the carby I took out, the one I put in doesn’t have the breather.

Rode about 200km today in all sorts of terrain, form 110km/h highway to rutted muddy trails and she ran perfectly. The only complaint really is that the throttle action is quite stiff.

Thanks Lefty, going out tomorrow for a run and see how it goes.

Yeah Mate, mechanical genius I am :D :D

There was an upgrade recently I think Fordy which has created a few problems. They will be doing another upgrade soon to fix the problems. Most of us just stay logged in anyway so maybe nobody else has noticed.

As was mentioned earlier on this thread, after Lefty did the rebuild work the only thing still not good was the carby. It was just worn out and had more leaks than Julian Assange :D. It worked on a vaccum system so with all the leaks it took forever to get fuel into the carby and once it was there it was pretty much impossible to tune it properly.

This afternoon I decided to pull the carby out of the scrapper I bought and see if it was in any better condition. Being that my mechanical skills are somewhere between poor and pathetic the only thing I could do was clean it up and whack it in to see what happens. I gave it a good spray with Wynnes carby and throttle body cleaner spraying it inside and out and undoing a few screws and spraying in the holes and breathers until the liquid coming out was pretty much the same colour it went in (very technical worker I am). It is pretty powerful stuff that Wynnes, at one point I though my screw driver had been sitting in grease or something only to realise the “cleaner” was melting the handle  .

Anyway I got the old one out and the new one in, hooked up all the hoses, hit the button and it fired straight up and purred away quite nicely (damn I’m good  ) . The only concern I really had was that there is an extra breather on the old one, not sure what it was. It is much bigger than the usual breathers and went straight into the air box.

No Worries Adam, see you there

Not sure who is camping, who needs space at my place and who is just meeting us there though so if you could all let me know who is doing what via PM that would be great.

I think the best thing is if we all meet at the servo at Lavis lane Saturday morning at 8.30am. Beach passes are available from there, bring proof of registration as the rangers will check if they are about. We can ride up to Anna Bay tavern for lunch and a refuel then have a play in the singles up that end before heading back down to Lavis lane.

    Jeez, there dropping like flies.

Hey Jeffro no worries about the accomodation at you’re place.
Can you reccommend anywhere local to stay. The missus wants to come for a weekend trip and has found some cabins on the beach at $160 a night but seems a bit pricey though. Is it far Stockton to your place and the servo?

My place is only 15 minutes away but there is nothing around here I could reccommend.

Maybe try some of these, they are only 15 to 20 minutes away.

    That didn’t work.

    Try searching around Heatherbrae

    nudge nudge, wink wink ;)
Should be an awsome weekend Jeffro ….

You just need to put your foot down at home Eags and not let them schedule you for something else when it is on ;)

The only problem I might have is that they are trying to edge me into running one of the night shift crews on site. If that happens I will only be able to go if it is on one of my weekends off. I f I manage to keep away from running a crew then I can just take an extra weekend off if I have to.

I could be tempted for this one too.

Looks like I can only edit posts on the day of posting (hopefully the next upgrade will fix that)

Unfortunately my offer of accommodation is no longer an option sorry  , but I have a swag and or tent if anyone needs to borrow them. Again I am sorry for any inconvenience caused but I will look at running this ride again later in the year for those who are interested.
