snowy09 wrote:Thanks Nick, I’m interested in the suspension as its quick enough now and I’m not ringing it’s neck. Do you suggest rear spring first or fronts first? I promise not too argue as I obviously know nothing gab out suspension.
Go the rear spring first if your not going to both ends at the same time. Keeping the back wheel on the ground and stopping it bouncing all over the place goes a long way to keeping you pointed where you need to go.
When I put the heavier spring on my WR it made a huge difference (mind you at 125kg without my gear I was carrying a bit more weight than you). Generally it just felt like a nicer ride with less jarring but it was whe I hit the first decent step that I really noticed the difference. I braced myself for the usual jarring as the back wheel hit it but it never came. I still haven’t gotten around to getting the front done but I will once I am home long enough.I had my DRZ done front and rear a few years back and that made a huge difference. I went down a rocky hill on one of my first rides with it setup hoping I wouldn’t to go back up but the trail became a dead end. I was dreading going back up but I couldn’t believe how easily I did it, the suspension just soaked up everything end the bike tracked straight up it like it was nothing.
I’m with STM mate. Wack a big arse sprocket on the back. It’s not like you want to be cruising at higway speeds on it.

There is a slim chance I will be around when this all goes down, might have to make a trip and say hello.
Happy Birthday Polly, have a good one mate.
I have some trailwings on my old 95 tenere that I find pretty good for road and trail. I am not sure on what sort of distance I get out of them though as I generally don’t pay much attention to it.
Happy Birthday Aido, Have a good one mate

Riding 14,15,16 November 2014
Friday An introduction to Nundle 60-80km depending on when beers are called.
Ride leaves Nundle freeway cross over ramp 12 at 1300 hrsSaturday The best we have, no secret bits left out. If you dont like Nundle after this ride, your just weird!
Aiming for 130km but again depends on when beers are called. Lunch at the Berry Patch to allow the Berry icecreams a chance to make a second appearance when you least expect. More singles than a dating site.
Ride departs Nundle railway station at 0730Saturday night we are going to the pub for a feed before retiring to the fire pit of knowledge for the presentations for the days best performers.
Both Friday and Saturday rides are grade Boony, so if you can ride better than him your fine, if you cant your a retard and should stay at home.
Sunday The heroes asked for it so here it is. Nundle the hills of shit. Every hard hill we can find in an out and back loop of only 30 km but you will remember it. Led by Aaron (rags) with support from Boze. Leaves Nundle Botanical Gardens at 0800 back when all hills are conqured or the riders give in.
We are staying at the Nundle fossickers caravan park and they are holding cabins for OBT until next Friday 1/8/2014 after which they will not be held. The pub and motel also have accomodation. This is a Organise your own everything ride, We cant beat Nicks catering arrangements so we wont even try.

Well that escalated quickly!!
At least give an idea of what month.
Some good news at least mate.
The fact that they have a paper being put together for submission is a step further than they have gone before I think so that is a step in the right direction. As Eagle said there will always be those who do the wrong thing regardless of the cost but I also think there will be plenty prepared to do the right thing.
Regardless of whether the “tossers” do or don’t abide by it, if it is brought in it will still make it cheaper for those that want the rec rego rather than full rego.Personally I will stick with full rego as I like to jump on the bike and head out the driveway to parts unknown sometimes rather than have to worry about trailering out to a start point.
Will do Eag’s.
I kept meaning to pop around and see you but just never got around to it. Sorry
Pass on my best wishes to her mate.
Have you heard back about the job?
