Actually I did the same thing once on my old TT600, got 200 meters from home and she stopped so kicked the shit out of it and nothing so started pushing it home. Got about halfway back before I realised what I had done (idjit) and to top it all off they were doing street works and it all happened in the middle of it with the workmen (and I use the term loosely) watching me. :D (i’m still an idjit)

we hit the dog on lino twin trails out back of ponderosa,

I hit one of those last weekend, I hit the throttle and the back just stepped out then the front started to get real sketchy which after my last slippery clay incident had the sphincter muscle tweaking :D . There was some string along the track too that went for a couple hundred meters, I wasn’t sure what it was at first. i though it may have been some wire or fishing line so pulled up to check and it was only a light string or a heavy cotton. Maybe someones shirt got caught on a branch and peeled off as he they rode on.

That puts me just into that age bracket this year, guess I will have to be more careful now. I would like to lower my average for injuries though, March 2008 broken hand (same bone as Bubba Stewart, does that make me a racer :D :D :D ), December 2009 Broken Bone in Foot, January 2011 Dislocated shoulder. None of them happened when I was going flat out either.

Welcome to the site Pete, the Gas Gas is a Spanish brand bike and are just becoming better known in Australia but have been around for quite a while.

It would eliminate having to worry about bending your gear lever.

ADR compliant bikes have to have all the things mentioned by Menace earlier but also have to meet more strict emissions requirements for both noise and exhaust fumes I think.

Good one Kat, I was just wondering the other day if the XR had been readied and tested yet.

Rats is a good theory but im guessing someone left some wires hanging loose when they fitted their new triple clamp and steering damper. Oops. :silly:

hey hey hey, no need for finger pointing Scotty :D :D :D.

And yes Chris I am aware of the risks of solo riding but as the saying goes, riding with friends is good for the heart but riding alone is good for the soul. I am also extra careful when riding alone and avoid the worst stuff.

Here is my miserable attempt at the ruts, had I not been alone I would have hit it harder.
