There are enough drop outs that you could just turn up mate, there will be plenty of room now.
Here is a link to last years ride, for anyone that hasn’t been before it will be a good teaser for you

I have never ridden a KLX but it is a bike I was considering before I bought the DRZ and still think about changing to.
I bought the 550 Berg for the extra power and lighter weight but it didn’t improve my riding any I don’t think although it does stop and turn better.
Since then I have had the suspension done on the DRZ and while I do miss the extra twist and go power of the Berg (but really only when I am trying to wheelstand the thing), I prefer to ride it now even though I have it geared more for the road . If I wasn’t so lazy I would put the bigger rear sprocket back on it to help ease the lossMaybe if I had the suspension done on the Berg it would be a different story but at the moment I find it more fatiguing to ride as it shakes the bejeezes out of me, I do love that power it has though.

Actually I was watching the David Knight video and I reckon the better riders have great clutch control that allows them to minimise wheel spin and stopp from lofting the front wheel too much on some of those snooty hills.
My Berg is like that, particularly in 1st, not so bad in other gears though and like yours, a pain to get into neutral unless I am trying to change gears on a snotty uphill, then it’s really easy.
Try this as a bit of an appetiser if your considering it.

February 27, 2011 at 1:21 pm in reply to: Mick’s Annual Birthday Ride 4th & 5th of March 2011 #196094I am out of the Saturday ride but will be doing the easier Friday ride as the shoulder recovery has been slower then I would like.
What’s the plan Mick, what time are we meeting and where mate.
Disclaimer: If it is in the thread somewhere and I have missed it, bite me, sometimes I can be a bit slow

I have ridden there once before and would love to again but the shoulder is still not up to it. We went in along Cedar creek road last time which is the opposite side to where your starting.
Mick you forgot “Big Red conquering”.
Happy Birthday Kat, may the party be big and the hangover small.

After experiencing the discomfort and embarrassment of a prostate test on
the National Health Service, a friend of mine decided to have his next test carried out while visiting in
Thailand where the beautiful nurses are rather more gentle and accommodating. As usual he was asked to strip off, he lay naked on his side
on the bed and the nurse began the examination.“At this stage of the procedure it’s quite normal to get an erection” said the nurse.
“I haven’t got an erection” said the man.
“No, but I have” replied the nurse.
