Plain bleach is the go, good for home brew gear, good for camel backs.

I know Troy was keen to go last year, but because he did not ride the Australian safari he did not qualify.
I have known him for a while and my wives family have been friends since the days they lived in Gunnedah. He is a strong competitor and will get a good result if his bike hangs together!

I was listening to 2GZ at work and they were asking people what their plans were for new years eve in Orange. One fella said he was lighting a bonfire in his back yard!!!! The DJ didn’t even notice what he said. I bet thats who started the fire in Orange.

Also use thread tape between the lever perch and the bars to allow them to spin instead of breaking.
The bark busters should prevent broken levers though. The bark busters need to be slightly higher than the levers and done up tight so they can’t move when you crash.
I havnt broken a lever ever with bark busters.

It will be a good idea to fabricate a gusset the same as the later xr frames. It goes above the right foot peg where the sub frame is welded to the main frame rail. They flex here and will brake. Its only about an inch long.
I did this to my 89 xr250 years ago. The paint was cracking from flexing at this point.

Do a riding school. It does not matter how good a rider you are, a school will always give some good pointers to improve your riding. Half the time crashes can be avoided through a little change in style.
Use a camel back to keep hydrated, loss of concentration through dehydration is another crash causer too.
