I assume it’s for high speed work and because they don’t encounter mud? That’s my guesses exhausted…

Sorry Eags  I’m just like Big Kev! “I’m excited!” :woohoo:

In just FIVE weeks time we will be at Brecken Ridge!
That’s a mere 3,110,400 seconds from now!
Scotty wrote:Seriously though what is it you hope to achieve with the high guard? Is for looks or function. It would seem others such as TB have done it and found negative affects. As for looks I think the MX guard looks out of place on them.LONG ANSWER
Low guards are for road bikes. High guards are for off road bikes. Yeah, yeah I know Dakar is raced off road but I don’t have a factory truck chasing me around in case it gets wet/muddy. Bucky (wearing a high guard) and I rode the same terrain for 435kays not so long ago. At the end of the day there was bugger all difference in the amount of dirt/mud on our bikes.SHORT ANSWER
I like them betterershane_vor wrote:He’s a slow learnerDidn’t buy a VOR though! :woohoo:
Thanks TB, but I’ve got a UFO one I bought off ebay sitting here. I’ll give it a crack and see how it goes… no definites. :silly:
Great info. Thanks Dave!
I’ve carried about 5 at most over the years… only 3 these days  seeing the things you’ve used them on, and seeing as I’m a thrifty Ten owner I better get some
I’m away with wife and kidlets, so viewing/doing this via phone… but is there any chance of some more shots of your adapter plate ‘thingo’ for your front guard? In the coming weeks I’m trying to mount a YZF guard on my Ten.
Thanks
All I can say is bugger! And I need to buy some of those cable ties!

Nice pics Eags! It looks like a great place to ride and camp, with the Adventure crowd covered I think I’ll have to scope out coming along next year
