The ball is clearly in Osmoo’s court now. But I would be disappointed if he took the FULL refund, after all he has PURCHASED a good and used a SERVICE from the assumed shop.

Lesson learned though, it would have been nice to take the matter up with the shop manager directly if he felt strong enough to negative on the internet about the whole incident.

$180 US from the US… not too bad. But my questions were answered when I watched this…

Just found that Torpedo 7 used to sell them for $180.

Have to agree with Jimbo on that one… the knowledge just on this site alone is GINORMOUS! ;) How will your Husky be after 50000km’s? How would your Ten be after 50000km’s? Just ask TB, he’s even got the pics! ;)

Have to say Sutto’s looked after me recently with a helmet purchase 10% OFF just for mentioning OBT! Got to be happy about that! :)

I complained to myself about my $16 fitting fee from a local Honda dealer… now I see it wasn’t so bad after all!

Maybe you didn’t have the highly trained 16yo work experience, flat cap wearer I had to do mine? I feel your pain… but they are providing a “service”. Perhaps next time maybe asking not only how much for the goods but how much for the service, might prevent this from happening???

    Bucky,

Had a look at mine, don’t know the stand brand but here’s some comparo photo’s.

Yes the bike is dirty, I ride it. Polishing is for HD riders… ;)

The rubber grommet is in the top left touching the swing arm when the stand is up. Chain doesn’t touch anywhere.

We (as a country) are own worst enemy! We want the BEST goods and services money can buy… but we only want to pay Chinese sweat shop prices for those goods and services. The internet has its good but it also has it’s bad side too. Is there anything (other than maybe firearms/explosives etc) that you can’t find on the web, possibly even a chinese knock off of an item that the legitimate manufacturer has spent hundreds of thousands, sometimes more in research to get right… then someone comes in and makes a copy for next to nothing?

Look at who lost the last world war… look at their industry and their economy. Both Japan and Germany are selling top notch gear, which you pay for, but it’s good gear none the less.

It needs more than just Governmental change, it needs societal change, a change in culture from the buying public. Same goes for our farmers being priced out of the markets by big grocery chains for even the simplest of things like milk. Orchardists who get hold of dozer and knock down whole orchards because they can’t compete with importers!?!?!?!?!

I worry about my kids kids… how are they going to get on? If I was married today and had to buy a house I’d struggle to get into the market in Sydney (outside a lower socio economic hub) and that’s just rubbish.

I don’t have any answers… just rants I’m afraid. But I hope all stays well with you, hope you continue to give them the product they want so they won’t want to get rid of you! ;)
