Curiosity is killing the Kat :pinch:

Well if it helps him come out…. I did something stupid the other month on the Sydney Harbour Bridge on my new XR400. The bike slowly cut out and came to a graceful stop in the middle lane heading north in peak hour. It looked like it had plenty of fuel so I was perplexed why it stopped. So last result was to put it on to RES but I didn’t know how it work on the new 21 litre tank. I got to learn that the hard way and with a chores of horns that was music to my ears.. I had to jump off my bike and trying to read which was RES and OFF. Believe it or not they are different on both sides. Started it up and finally got going…. my heart was beating million miles an hour…. I look back and laugh now……… but I put it down to being blonde…… I now have a marked where the fuel comes up when it needs the RES switch on..

OK who ever you are… you are NOT alone…….

    4. prefers to be escorted up tough sections
    5. smokes
    6. has money
    7. likes to wash his bike in car washes
    8. has a kick start bike…
    9. it’s not a aido

please bite who ever you are and put us out of our misery.

Thanks for the tip Lotsa, I really enjoyed the small amount of sand riding we did last year on the Cameron trip and can’t wait for more !![/quote]

    Hi Nickj,

I can highly recommend the Simpson Desert… best to get there then learn how to ride on sand…… makes it more interesting…… just make sure you got West to East….. nothing like hitting Big Red at the end of your experience rather than first up…. put it on your bucket list!!! Makes any sand experience after that a breeze.

Hey Kat it sounds like you were out on a man hunt :P what with old mate falling at your feet and then pulling the old why dont you sit on my bike line… Did you get any phone numbers?
great report and lucky you for getting ride time, my bike has a hole in the side cover which left me out of any action over the weekend :( should be fixed this weekend though :cheer:
How did you feel the next days after 300km’s on the XR? Was it easy/nice to ride (silly question i know).

Ha Wazzup….after 300km the bike and me were just warming up. It was comfortable even doing 110km on F3.
and no I’m not in the man hunt game or getting numbers……… all to hard….and still missing my riding mate….. just love getting out and enjoying my bikes now.

    Thanks everyone for your comments….

I’ve had ONE of those weeks for the last 7 consecutive weeks and only got one more to go before I get to stop. The bikes have been collecting dust. Had enough energy to do bit of bike maintenance thanks to an ‘old bull’ helping hand.

Hoping to see Easter as my break free opportunity to have some fun.

This weekend……… working, eating, sleeping, listening to music…… … hurry up Easter.
