So instead of doing girlie things like housework or going cloths shopping I have spent this morning watching all the SBS shows on Dakar (so far) that I saved on my TBOX.

Unfortunately I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to watch them……the only updates I was getting was this thread (thanks TB & Eagle) and reviewing the Dakar site.

So……. my juices are flowing and it’s excited me to want to head to Stockton Beach and ‘potter’ on the sand dunes and pretend I’m flying…… girl has to have dreams……

I don’t think I’ll ever delete these shows as I’ll rewatch them over and over for pointers…maybe even have a Dakar viewing night…

    Keep updating the thread guys….

Thanks TB and Murph… My goal this year is to do more technical single stuff to improve the skills so watch out for more gumby ride reports and video footage…

YEE Ha another Chic…… When I started on this site 3 years ago there wasn’t another girl stupid enough as me to give it a go…… Great to see you join the site. Other chics include:

    Alyssa
    Monaro66
    Rach
    Flying fish
    Whiskey

On and there are blokes on this site that ride like a chic but I won’t name them here…..ha ha

Hope to see you on one of our rides soon.

Thanks for posting your tips on the GoPro. I was lucky enough to get one for a Christmas present and had some filming fun these holidays whilst we have been doing some trailriding, adventure riding and some MTB in Onley State Forest. Your tips have been helpful and like you will be adding batteries to the accessory list. Keep posting up more tips….

Looks like we are up for a sweaty experience with lots of giggles.

We will meet at the Tuggerah off ramp to F3 on the western end at 8am. For those coming from south (ie Sydney) take Tuggerah turn off and then take left turn and go 200 metres down. Those coming from North take F3 exit to Tuggerah and when you hit Cobbs Rd turn right and ride 300 m. If in doubt ring me on 0438281739.

Ok so I have now had three broken clutch levers in about 2 months! I have bark busters and have added some lock tight to make sure they stay in place. The bark busters were fitted when i bought the bike so they should be fitted properly … i keep getting asked how i break them .. its got me stuffed! Has anyone else had this problem?

Try leaving the clutch lever mounting bolts a little bit loose ( use lock tight so they don’t come off). This will provide a little bit of wriggle room for when you drop the bike and allow the mount to spin on the bar.

    Hi Kat,
I would have thrown my hat in the ring to go on a ride with you guys tomorrow but grade 2/3 may be too difficult for me on the tenere.

If its a 660 tenere you should by ok. We won’t be travelling fast nor trying to do any tight single track. Could be good opportunity to have fun with girls…

Come along… Mick could do with some male company.

Hey Rach….. Nice new toy you got there…..

We will be doing some riding over the two week Xmas break with the goal to improve my technical skills…… Mick will need a stiff drink each night. I’m bring up my CRF 230 for a blast…. Even thinking of taking the bikes to Bellbird Pub and doing some singles around Kitchener. I would be great to have another chic around for the giggles….
