I will keep you in mind for the next one Kram,it wasn’t really a formally organised ride, we sort of invited ourselves along on someone else’s ride and I ended up leading it.

I had to work anyway:S Just jealous so many OBT’s had such a great weekend and I had to keep the Minister for Finance happy.

Why is my tube repair rating so many mentions?? I thought I did ok for my first one in the bush, considering what I had to work with. A tube for a 85,two tiny air cylinders and a tiny little masturbator pump.

You did, glad it wasn’t me sitting on those thistles

It was definately bags of fun at Kundabung, during and after the ride:woohoo: :woohoo: It was my first Old Bulls ride and if they are all like this one, where are we going next weekend! Thanks heaps to Fossil for the hospitality and showing us your back yard, you’re definately blessed with some great trails right from your back door.

My favourite bits of the day:

Mick’s tube changing lesson on Cylinder Hill:laugh: 12 klms out of a new tire, not bad for a bloke who’s never had a flatB)

dodging bullet like rocks from both those big XR’s

Shell the sweep’s patience while I picked myself up again and again and again.

The lovely clean water in them there hills. My bike, boots and riding gear was cleaner than when I left home. I’m going to fit a snorkle to the Husky so she can breath under water:woohoo: :woohoo:

And the BBQ, Beers and Banter.

    Great Day.

I spoke with a farmer (was a nice guy) when i was trying to find a way through. From memory it was near Roberts road or something like that. He said the way through was used by mountain bikers and they had to carry their bikes over the bridge. He said you would be brave to walk across, and no way it would hold a bike. And on top of that the property owners did not like bikes and were even unhappy about mountain bikers using it. I have given up on the idea.. I think unless we find a land owner that likes bike with a bridge it will be impossible. Which is a real shame because other than that you can do a great run from Kundabung to Crescent down the beach then back across to Maria River Rd.
That’s right. Haven’t been across the bridge myself but know it’s there. Just met a bloke who has a farm on the Berangi Rd and he reckons he has access to the bridge. I need to follow it up.

Yeh me to KramB) My olds live off Cresent Head Rd, I know Maria river pretty good, but am trying to link up the best way from Plomer rd to Berangi rd with minimal Tar, a bit difficult when I live in Hornsby:blink:

    Ollie

Have a good ride in Fossils backyard Boys and ShellB)

Ollie there is a couple of ways, but through some private property and it does depend on how much rain we’ve had. Plomer Rd is in fine form at the moment.

beauty,The people who own the property bike friendly? If permission is gained obviously. The closest way to get into Maria is down thru Wortley drive or the Eastern trail, have you done this before Kram? Husky 310 Nice!!B)

    Ollie
Know the Eastern trail. There’s some good trails though there. Tough luck about Hornsby I’d be hitting the Olds up for their spare room:woohoo: :woohoo:
