After speaking with his Lords Ship this morning it may well be that you are heading into an old stomping ground of mine as well. Charming little shit hole called Mintabi. Well it was when I left there close to 30 years ago.

    Sounds like an adventure!! :woohoo:

I have discussed the situation and changes with the minister of Finance and War as well as the Minister of Job Security and have been granted the seal of approval by all said Ministers.. :P

I have verbally and thoroughly discussed the situation with the CEO of OLD BULLS and I stand under what has been put forth and I would like to exercise my own free will and I hereby let it be known I would like to follow… :P

All maintenance requested to be completed from the Cameron Corner ride has been competed.

    Cheers…

I’ve noticed weather zone have updated the 28 day forecast and the “high” days has been changed… Interesting since they claim the 28 day forcast is updated every 7 days on the monday but it was updated in the last 2 hours…

I’ve done a little research and it is commonly agreed the 28 day forecast as a whole is based on historical data and that the first 3 days are fairly accurate the next 4 days 50/50 and after 7 days they seem to be throwing darts based on historical factors…

I agree a plan B should be prepared for however I wouldn’t count Camerons out yet… Just my opinion based on what I have read from the weather prediction community…

what a weekend eh fellas!!! B)

    755k round trip for me…… :P

I think most everyone has detailed the ride in previous posts…..

In no particular order some of ups and downs from my perspective were:-

    – Lefty taking the verbal punishment he got all weekend and it seemed to just roll off him…
    – Seeing Lefty picking up the XR on Moose’s crossing… :woohoo:

    – Seeing one and hearing about the few offs DJ had…

    – Working out my friggin muffler end cap fell off somewhere near Bathurst… Wood duck!!

    – Sticking to Gaz a bit too close at moments when he decided to have moments causing me to bail into the bush…
    – Seeing Gaz go down on the fine bull dusted slippery ass track… Looked worse than it ended up being…

    – Riding up right in reverse about 6 meters down a hill before finally realising I should probably dismount..
    – Smashing my back into the side of a large crater during said dismount… Ouch…….. :pinch:
    – Not seeing the easy smooth ride up and around said craters…

    – The water crossings… They were actually fun.. The big one looked worrisome but wasn’t bad at all….

    – Saturday nights camp.. Was a great night with great company and some great stories… I really like these moments of a ride…

    – riding directly into the Sun Saturday evening racing to Hill End, then riding directly into the sun leaving camp Sunday morning… hahahaha…..

I had a blast this ride.. It was long, challenging and forced me to push myself, even to the point where I just had to have a break…

And as always it amazing watching Boulder jump into action at every step of the way wherever trouble rears its ugly head…

Thanks to TB for Running a great ride off the top of his head, lefty for the laughs and Gaz showing me we will make a good team during Camerons… B)

some photos I took.. Not the greatest camera man but some random shots anyway….

Motley Crew I believe this shot was called..

Gathering the vittles at Hill End Pub… the Old Bulls sticker is still on the right window of the door at the top… B)

Boulder and DJ helping Lefty push start the XR Sunday morning as she was being a stubborn bitch…

    2011-09-MtVic-Mittagong-03.jpg

No Worries boys job well done!!

    2011-09-MtVic-Mittagong-04.jpg

One of the many funny moments of Lefty using something to elevate himself to start the XR..

Motley Crew outside of Sofala on the road to Sunny Corner…

Not picking here Krusty but whats 2 – 3 times heavy really mean, thats your opinion? I have both here, I reckon having just had the two, the steel DR650 tank and the 30 litres huge ass Safari tank in my hands there wouldnt be much difference, but whats much
Would there be much difference between a plastic and a steel tank? The steel is thin, the plastic is thick that would be interesting :)

Bring your DR in trail mode we will weigh it and then try it in ADV mode, what do you think the difference will be, cause any figure I use will be plucked outa my arse

    Lets weigh them

    TB

Good Point… Yes I would like both modes weighed…

I edited my post to make sure it was understood I was only interested in my setups..  see above..

I think this thread is a great idea.. Good onya Lefty!!!

I would like mine done in Trail Mode… Just for curiosity sake as to what I ride with as it is.. I don’t really care about what a manufacturer says as we all make major mods that throw it all out the window imo…
