I’m not riding with you Owl. You must never fall off. I can’t see a scratch on the plastics anywhere. I thought I did a reasonable job cleaning my bike but it is filthy compared to that. Even the header pipe and radiator hoses are pristine. What’s the secret to you technique. Name those magic products you use.

Its called a brand new bike…      and he cleans it as soon as he returns from ride…

as well as every other day..

how hard is it to bolt that long range tank on Krusty, how do you get the bolts to line up and take, Mine standard one is a pain in the arse to get the bolts in with the force rad guards, put it back on yesterday following a intense clean up.
Yah DRZ is looking mighty fine ,,be looking forward to see it at nabiac.

It can be a little tricky but not too bad… the gap you see on the sides makes it accessible to the bolt holes.. I use a T-Bar and feed it in.. I’ll show you up close at Nabiac. I need to get Rad-Guards and not sure which to get.. Nick has B&B and he needs to remove his to install tank.. Boulder has some brand called flatlands? and he don’t need to remove them to install his large tank.. Not sure what Jeffro has and any difficulties he may have..

The Trusty DRZ will now have complete dual functionality.. One setup for trail riding and the other of course for Adventure.. I plan to use the old plastics for Adventure riding and the new for trail riding.. It takes me about 1.5-2 hours to convert over.. I’ll update pics when the sticker kit is done..

    Thanks for Reading………..

Pardon my ignorance as well but since what year did the XR get USD forks and an Electric leg?
Anyhow It looks very Crustyish (formerly of course) smic in other words. :)

2005 was the last year they made the original XR400R in OZ then after the outcry they brought it back 2 years (I think) later but as a XR400SM with electric Leg and USD forks.. I know a few blokes in the US and one in Italy that converted them to full dirt and did not like em and claimed they were not as good as the original.. Who knows each to their own I suppose..

I’m sure it will make a great adventure bike though!! B)
