Here is a great gearing calculator for the XR range it is setup default for the 400 but if you know the other info you could work out your gearing quite accurately.. I was thinking of dropping my rear to 44 to get a weeee bit more legs on the top end but I guess 110 on afire trail is fast enough :cheer:
Thats awesome Mick… Once you hit day 6 is goes a lot easier… Just wait until about day 10 as certain tastes will seem strange and you may even realize some new ones.. I’m coming up on 21 days.. I have finally stopped hacking up morning flem..
Welcome mate.. great site and great group.. I’ve only been here for a month or so and I have gained so much in so little time.. See you on the tracks…

Made up my mind to make a new start, Going To California with an aching in my heart.come on.. come on.. come on.. come on.. come on.. 4 more.. 4 more.. 4 more.. 4 more..
Hey Mick if you go cold Turkey and can last 3 days you should be alright.. having a partner who also smokes and does not stop with you is almost a guarantee for failure imo… I’m not a believer in substituting one drug for another makes no sense to me and only enriches the pharma companies..

Well done Chris, That is how you are funding all the mods to your mighty XR630 is it??
Sort of… BTW it is a 400… she will be the best looking 400 out there though..
Posting your challenge here will work in your favor because the boys here will never ever let it go if you fail!!!!
Hang tuff mate and we can laugh about our little moments at the poker run!!
Hi Mick,
I’m off the sticks as well since the Monday following the Sofala ride, straight up cold turkey.. First three days was hard but got easier.. If you can avoid alcohol for a week or 2.
Be careful with the patches and/or gum as some people just get addicted to those..
I have found with me it seemed to have been more about the habits involving smoking than the crave for the nico..
Example: Drinking a beer or Rum, coffee or after a meal or sex, etc… Working in the shed this weekend I kept (out of habit) walking over to where I kept em on the bench and realized there were none there
2 weeks now and certain tastes and flavors are already changing..
Hi xy – That code according to the honda color code chart is Fighting red.. The sticker on my sub frame is NH 196 which is Ross White.. 96-98 where white fendered Ross White.. 99 onwards seems to carry the code you mentioned to represent the Fighting red of the plastics.. The silver framed color XR400s I believe are ‘NH-262M Terra silver metallic’ That info came from some european website can’t recall name….
