my xr400 came with the ballards one and the original as a spare, cant say the ballards one makes a difference other than sound. I prefer the sound of the standard one. :)

Is the sound quieter with the Ballards one?

Its psychologimical my good man. Sounds faster therefore it is.

A good end-cap for the stock exhaust will make two tenths of bugger-all difference to the power of the thing. Try a B&B end cap, they tend to redirect the gasses and noise rather than restrict it. Makes the bike much more pleasant to ride, because the noise is directed down into the ground rather than straight out the back.

cheers same one Ballards has but they are only $89 at Ballards…

    I agree..

    Ballards baffle aside..

Does removing stock XR baffle really give a performance gain? I didn’t do it myself, it is how I got the bike.. Everything you read seems to indicate baffle removal along with air box opening up gives some sort of performance gain..

That’s funny, you don’t sound American.

Well just don’t hold it against me.. :P

Seeing as you ride a XR, we will overlook the fact mate.

Boy the XR card works great.. Because I ride an XR:

You wont hold being a sepo against me..
TB wont hold going from an XR to a WR back to an XR against me..
TB wont hold the fact that I drink Bundy Red instead of Bundy against me..

    Bonus!!! :P
