What ever is easiest for the person on the job
,Layoff for a few years to get his business and career happening, but now BA XR6 upgraded turbo & poppet, new manifold setup, flowed head, different forged Pistons, cam grinds, programmeable ECU, flowed dyno built exhaust, Hi-stall wonderbox, massively intercooled, hi-flow pumps, oil cooler, aftermarket radiator and heaps more that I tend to zone out about cause it’s a bloody falcon, but 440kw at rear wheels so far and he’s a bit grumpy about it’s final drive ratio.
What have you done about the water pump turning backwards on the barra motor

I dont use feeler gauges as its very hard to get to the valves in some bikes
most ajusters have a 1mm thread pitch ie 1 360 deg turn of the screw from 0 clearance =1mm or .25 =1/4 turn
i find this way more precise also allows for valve stem top dishing and freeplay
Next question on heat exchange
why doesn’t the coolant flow go from combustion area to lower jacket areas?
Pros & Cons!

Because bubbles go up not down and thermo syphon also goes up not down[/quote]
Ok so it’d be fighting the laws of physics of heated liquids and gases, but surely the pump could overcome this.
While you are at it can you get the river out the front to go up hill as it will look better
you dont have that many deg dif from top to bottem hose 10deg max i have got it to 3deg when ive tuned the cooling system so there is no advantage only power loss to drive a large hipressure pump to try to fight the laws of nature

Bruce the first thing you need to get working properly is the water pump it needs a bypass to work and a little hole in the thermostat wont flow enough also there is too much drag tru the radators to feed very hungry impella designs
you also need to restrict the flow and slow it down in the rad to give it time to cool but the main goal is flow at all times to the water pump

ok sorry didnt mean to harass you but you did a cracker job last year and was a bit to keen ive asked mick but he didnt know but now i do
yeh the last ones were crap the rat wreaked heaps of them now
