Louee would be better for the kids, and other activities, leave it with me for a bit, I will talk with Tom and check some prices etc, we are having the Old Bull Christmas Party in July this year so we will see.

The Christmas Party will in July to reduce everybody being busy at Christmas and not being attend

Let me get back to you

    TB

When organising the christmas party TB I hope you do not forget about all us QLD’ers and make it out of reach for us to attend also [location].

No where will make everybody happy, we think that it will be at Louee near Mudgee for lots of reasons, it really is the only place that has everything we what including a pub within walking distance, all different styles of riding and is very well priced for the three days. Also unrego’ed bikes and shops for spares are close by. Around 3.5 hrs from Sydney, less than 3hrs from Newcastle, 5 and half hrs from around the mid nth coast and around 7 hrs from the border.

One of the other big sites has their christmas party in the same area as it works best they reckon from experience and they have been doing it longer than us, its still up in the air but thats the go at the moment.

    TB

Noted and appreciate where you are coming from, just because it works for them does not mean it will be right for OB, just because they are bigger does not mean they are doing it right. Just my opinion.

    TB

I’m social but there will be no hot showers with TB and Moto for me:laugh:

You are welcome to put your bike in my shed there is plenty of room.
AS for lodging what are you after? A swag spot or 5 star?
    Cheers

    Cheers Mick,

I am driving to Coffs [old place of residence] Monday and off to Tamworth and Walcha and back to Coffs by Friday lunch, so was thinking of driving down after lunch Friday, I am a pub sought of bloke so a pub near your place or start location would be good, do we leave from your place or reload bikes and travel to start location. Should be in shed fitting new rear tyre but drinking XXXX instead. That big oil stain would have to from TB’s Honda not a KTM.

    Cheers KTM01

Mate what ever suits you,you can leave the bike and start from here no worries.the pub is about 200 meters from here.
    Mick

OK if you can PM me the pub name so I can book a room, and a few directions to get there and some contact details to locate you to drop bike off on Friday I AM IN!!!!!!!!!

Guys, as mentioned previously I am going to be in the area for work and was thinking about attending the ride. I just need a few more details to try and make it all fit together, if I attend I will be arriving on the Friday afternoon, is the place to stay Wauchope or else where, where do you leave from, would it be possible to leave my bike somewhere safe on the friday and Saturday nights as I have already had two bikes stolen and am concerned about leaving outside a pub or motel as I would be driving back to QLD on the Sunday morning.
Trying to get a plan in place.

Apparently pool filter skins are cheaper than bike-specific ones but are exactly the same. Yet to test the theory, but intend to do so shortly considering the amount of dust around and the forecast for bugger-all rain in the next month or so!

Thats right ECKS-man, bought a pack of three today for the pool $7.00, had the same thought as I was fitting one to the pool skimmer basket. I always run filter skins so I am going to try one next time.

Went to Woodenbong early this morning and went for a ride, had my topographic map and off I went. I rode part of the way around the base of mount Lindesay, which can be seen in the posted you tube video, the area that I was in looked like it had not been used for a long time, found a few good trails, further up the road I believe is where everyone goes as there was a few ute’s with bikes about.
Had to go to the bong pub and have a counter lunch and a few schooners to support the local economy, you guys no how it is.
    And the KTM…………..awsome:P :P :P :P

    I’m onto it.
Wont go to fullon as I will be solo, but will have a look about. A huge storm ripped through that area last night as they where still clearing the road this morning from trees, I am expecting a lot of fire trails to be cut.
The Gold Coast motorcycle expo is on the weekend of the first OB QLD trail ride I just noticed, might have to have a look on the saturday.
