    I’m a bad man.
As you guys have worked out by now I am new to QLD and am in search of some good riding.
I told the missus this morning that we’ll go for a drive and have lunch some where, we ended up at Woodenbong, had lunch and a few schooners at the pub, slipped into the state forest and had a quick look where to park the ute, all this and still in the good books.
    I’m taking the bike back in the morning for a half a day look about:P :P :P :P :P

HI KTM01, Haven’t been to woodenbong yet, but we are going to check it real soon.. I know guys who have stayed at the pub at woodenbong and ride out from there. As far as I know rego is essential and the publican is bike friendly and keen to offer advice as to where to go. I will keep you informed.

Cheers, that would be appreciated, I am busting to find some good riding around here. Iam going to Woodenbong this morning for a look around.

Unfortunatly I cant make it that day, but having said that I would reconsider the RTCB rides if I were you. These rides are set up mainly to cater to the flanny set. The tracks are usually rocky rutted shit holes, which of course can be fun, but not when your #600 through.

I reckon a better option would be a run through the Kenilworth state forest to Imbil pub for lunch then back again. Great riding in a great part of the country.

I have the gps track that I would send to whoever nominates to be the lead rider as long as they respect the fact and use it accordingly.
The route would need to be pre ridden as I havnt done it for quite a few months.

    mcGUYver,
Being new to Queensland I dont even know where Kenilworth is or the Imbil pub, but if your up for showing me the trail I would be happy to lead the boys through if it is ok, what sought of K’s would it be and what sought of trails. We could pre ride if that suited you.

    What about this idea Ray???

I’m defiantly in, what ever we do, it’s my bday weekend so it is going to cost me to get a pass out.
I am concerned that a 20k loop at this event is’nt going keep us entertained for long with a lot of other bikes there also.
    I see our options are-
1 the event we are looking at.
    2 a look around Woodenbong { depending upon what I have found}
3 a ride at the sunshine coast.

Are you keen to ride Sat and Sun?

    Whats your thoughts?

    Hi All
give me the low down on these things, I have a chance to buy. Is in mint condition 1965 ks and hardly used, I know the guy and he is very fussy/fistidious, what sort of $..

    cheers Hatto

They are on the net from $8000 to $10000 depending upon K’s.
I had a 05 450 EXC that I put 9000km before buying the 07 and had one problem where the spark plug lead was shorting to the head intermitantly but that was it, great bikes, change the oil every 500km and adjust valves every 1000km and it will keep going with no problems. Does the spares kit come with it? It should have chain and road riding sprocket set, needle, front SX style number plate and manuals. If it has the standard exhaust check to see if the mod has been done where it de-restricts it, if not do it.

    Cheers Hatto,

Where you at? I bought a few acres at Jimboomba and have gone for two rides in the last couple of days at Logan village, just been on the net looking at the local forests trying to come up with a plan.
