I can go through the crash log (yes I keep a crash log for parts bent and broken) and also tell you I have had 37 hard drops on the bike(148 soft drops) and when I say that these machines take the most,this is what I meant.
I went through the Yamaha logs for the 94 and 96 YZ250 machines I killed and both of them only had around the high teens as far as big busters go and both were sold as bent and busted units with both nowhere near 100 hours on them. I have parts logs as well and other than consumables for all bikes I have owned (oils, tubes,tyres, chains, sprockets,pads,filters,ect) the Katies have been the most cost effective.
The KTM use more consumables , but for the whole time they are giving you more bang for your buckThat’s why the degree of belief in the product my friend
DaveJust as a last note, I went through Dad’s KTM Log and the XL250 Log and the TTR log and there is around 17,000 kms I have put on them since 2000, no wonder I dont remember what sex was, I just laugh when you guys talk about it so I feel like I fit in:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

DaveYears ago we had things called “Chatter Box” they were a little unit that you put in your bum bag that had the batteries, and a little wire went up to a unit that was mounted on the Helmet, there was a voice activated microphone velcro stuck to the inside near your mouth and an earpiece in your ear recess in the helmet, once the thing was on and you were plugged in they were fantastic.
They had a line of site range that was fine if you could see each other but as soon as a dozen tree’s got between you and the other guys it was gone, there was a gain adjuster on the mic that was imperative because at speed the noise activated them so you could wind them down as you went faster, you could have up to a dozen people on the same frequency no problems, we used it as group for several years with great success.
There was another advantage with them on big rides, when you were the corner man and you heard them coming you would start talking directions as soon as you could see them rather than just pointing, if a wireless version with the same features was around I would think about it again, but these days with the KTM its lonely at the back.Cheers

Seriously, Thanks Mate I am glad you liked them and I try to get the things out to my OLD BULL Mates real quick and at a good price, after all some of them ride Yamahas and I feel for their loss hey DanD ( I just cant help myself )
I have Tie Down Extensions to keep the hooks away from the bars, Seat straps with custom embroidery (I am still to do one for TB with PussBags wriiten on it in Pink), I have grip donuts to stop blisters, and Front Fork leg seal saver type Heavy duty protectors, Rear shock tower protectors, KTM PDS covers, Engine and transmission heat Temp gauge stickers, and the list goes on, as I said I will put together some more soon

I did not think TB could make it to 2009
Standard 8 X 5 gal box with a drop in alloy frame-best of both with easy and quick changeover of applications, alloy frame easy to move. Happy Joy
