I am fairly certain that you will need the correct size shims and that you wont know until you measure, it is a shit easy job though, you can stretch it to a two or three can job :) :)

I was thinking more of a measurement check, I am a qualified measurer, I was also thinking about fuel testing him just for his reputation of fuel and things associated.   ;) but Mick is right Katies never fail, and thats because their owners care for them :) :)

Mate they are all different, confidence is the key, if they are willing and able they will learn, if they are not big enough then wait a little while yet, my two boys are small in stature and both started when they were 2 years old, my youngest now 10, has this year taken out at the local club the MX Championships, the overall age Champion and 2nd place in the Sprint series, Mate start them when they are able to hold the bike upright as long as they want to, just be sure to have all the safety gear on them, as far as Motor Cycling Australia is concerned they wont give out a license under 4 years of age, the best way is to get him into a Minkana club, they have great skills based riding, Good Luck :) :)

    AussieE,
Great shots of the young bloke, I love the look in the eyes with his ribbons, that says it all, I am a MX coach and run schools out of the Hastings Valley track and that look of achievement in the little ones eyes is priceless,I see it all the time and really it is the reason I do it, Good on you Mate you are suppling the memories of a lifetime to your kid,
Keep the good work up and try and come up to our race track with your young fella he will love it here ;)

So you racing or not Rat?

Is it that hard to decide? C’mon, it will be fun :)

I know its fun, I have been in and around the race scene my whole life Moto,
I am officiating and as such cannot compete, I am trying to remedy that now,
and with both my boys competing $$$ is another issue, I have got tyres to buy yet for 3 of the 4 wheels turning that weekend, and I have not looked at Betty for tyres either, if I RACE it I will need 2 there as well.
I WILL BE THERE that day, and riding as well, just not competing as a worst case scenario.

are you scrutineering Dave? Will you be dressed ready to ride in time? Bill said you can borrow his bike didn’t he?

I will be appropriately dressed and yes Bill did offer his bike for my use, which I just may yet take him up on the offer, there is nothing wrong with Betty so I may unleash it for a day, sometime soon
