Welcome Mate, The TTR is a mighty little stead, I rode one just recently, You will have a great time here at this site, even though most are slow old fat Bast#rds…..Hold the horses I thought I was on another site, This is Old Bulls, Thats right, and I am one of the old fat Bast#rds,
Welcome again, See Ya on a ride , :side:
Welcome Mate I will warn you though, be prepared to not have any more boring rides by yourself, The fun to be had here is sometimes too much and you will find yourself going back to the TV just to have a break from it, and,
you wont be lonely because you own a Yamaha either, ……There you go guys I left the teasing to last
Welcome Ricky and hope to have a ride with you one day
Yes Mick it is great that we have such a strong membership here, its just a shame we cant grow any bigger, with the rides being capped it really just promotes people not worrying about it and going their own way, we really need to work out a way of keeping the thing growing the right way as far as this goes, otherwise it wont get anymore from here, you really need to think it through if you want to grow more.
If every one was to talk to a friend about it then the ride will be full before it even hits the ride forum, then you get attitudes like “they are local, they live there , they can ride any time”…..As I have said before if it was not for the locals where would our visitors ride , other than around in circles missing the good tracks.
There is nothing wrong with more riders in the group, you just may need to split at some sections and this would suit some riders anyway, as there is always the easy way around and the hard way. You will get a better response from all around if all were welcome….Dont loose sight here again my friend….Think Bigger so you dont go backwards
Too much Rum and not enough time is the problem

You were asking Bull how come thousands of engines dont have this problem and I was saying that throttle useage of all different types of riders is why some engines give dramas and some dont

Quote:Ha ha funny rocket, wasn’t 15mins was it? The side cold air intake on my bike has been the most unbelievable change to my filters I have ever seen, before that half day would see it struggle to rev in some long dusty races (not hard ones ask Dave) but dusty ones.TB
Now Now dont encourage me TB
I re-grease or replace trailer bearings with rego each year and never been on the side of the road:laugh:
I am self employed and wont even turn up for the interview.
Sad stuff a silly accident like this…Sad …Sad…Sad
I feel for those left here to deal with itTrailboss wrote:
Quote:KTM Bull wrote:Quote:The problem I believe is that the coolant exits from the r/h front of the cylinder head and there is a large exhaust port blocking the coolant path around the l/h side of the head and this causes a hot spot around l/h exhaust valve which causes core shift and moves the inlet boss off centre and causes the valve to scrape on the valve seat and wear itself out faster
this is just my theory
I have some very simple and cheap ways to test thisInteresting and I can go with that, but how come so many do so many miles without this problem and by many I mean thousands, do they have a different head casting for different models?
Moto fathead is having both inlets done, guides, seat and valves. It seems to have been dusted before Chopper got it, the valve was worn we adjusted but it was on the way out and has continued to wear at a rapid rate, exhaust valves and clearnces are fine, which is a normal thing when dust has been involved

TB the Throttle use has a lot to do with what Bull is onto and we all use that different:)
