Dave, pulse tuning only works (intentionally) if it was designed that way in the first place, and is also effected by the profile of the cam/valve opening times.

It’s not an acoustic shock wave either, it’s a pressure wave (albeit you can hear it though);)

Moto all machines will have a wave(shock, sound , pressure doesnt matter which) that will effect burn rates and even if the system was not designed around this you will still get changes no matter what when the rate of movement is altered, this may be real close as it is and thats why the thing is doing what is

This litte honda -v- ktm argument reminds me of that middle east kerfuffle. Think of Dave as Palestine and TB as Israel.

Dave fires off a volley at TB and TB sends in the big guns! Fairdinkum!

Don’t tell me about the price of KTM parts! Alot of the Vor parts are interchangeable with the katies. I prefer to pay for Husky parts that fit instead…when they do!

How’s this for todays efforts…100 bucks for a throttle cable. It’s a cable. 100 bucks! (nearly)

Thankfully I was at SUTTOS when I needed it. ;)

Hey TB I dare you to wear a turbin next time we meet and lets take a photo for the boys

TB that 50mm is for a standard weight of rider only of 35kg, you will have to adjust according to weight, what is his body weight, also check the preload on the rear spring it should be around 12mm, get it set to this and put the shock rebound adjuster on 5 and you should be good to go, PM me for more detail if you need, if you start from standard settings you can then tailor to suit the riders weight and ability changes as needed, cant wait to have your little one at one of my MX schools Mate, bring him up and I will have him running circles around you(if he is not doing that already):woohoo: :woohoo:

Yeah I am using premium. I fixed the ping by putting a loud pipe on it. I can no longer hear a ping.LOL

Bigger pipe means less air velocity speed, less acoustic shock wave going back down exhaust port, if pinging gone it means some of the old gas is now escaping rather than returning, therefore it was too lean with old pipe on, to test it go back to the old pipe and try a little richer on mix screw 1/8 th turn
