I haven’t been on here lately. ☹
Good to see there are still some good rides being organised.
I suppose I should add that learning how to ride will help you get up hills Ev!!! Haha
And get a Pirelli MX or XC mid soft 120/100
Those 140 tyres are the same size as most 120s. Different brands have different sizes. Michelin 140 = Pirelli 120 etc….
Whatever you do Ev stick with a 100. 110/100 or 120/100.
120/90 will have a lower profile side wall than a 110/100
I’m out
Any hard hills up your way????
Buy an adventure bike……………..you’re an idiot
Simple
Try Ballards Murph.
I have bought off them before and they were good.
Priced between 120 and 140 for solid
Nice work Scotty
Thanks everyone for coming on the ride.
Will be good to catch up with you all for some more Old Bull rides during the year.
I’m warming up tomorrow by playing golf and drinking schooners.
I would go down Mt Ousley and through Gerringong. Too twisty through Kangaroo. Although it may be faster??
When driving down the coast for this ride I would suggest going through Gerringong and Gerroa, there are shit loads of road works the Berry way.
Great write up Boze.
In relation to the gearing. When I got my 13 450 Berg it had 14/52 (which is standard on a 450) my 10 Berg was 13/52, so I changed the new bike to 13/52 straight away but it was too snappy in 1st and 2nd gear.
Turns out the newer Bergs and KTMs have different gearbox ratios to the earlier models.
Well we are only a few days away from the start of this ride and it looks like everyone has their transport and accommodation sorted out.
A few have pulled out at the last minute so there are still some spots available if you want to bring a friend.
Please re read page 1 of this thread for the essential info.
Looks like the weather will be on our side too with some showers and cool temps predicted.
Any more questions just post in here or give me a message.
