Just changed a couple of tyres and thought I would ask if anyone else has what sounds like little balls of rubber floating around inside their UHD tubes?
Its been like that for a long time now and doesn’t seem to affect anything, maybe just the wheel balance when riding at speed on the tarmac.
New grips, new front and rear tyre, new front and rear wheel bearings but as I suspected the rear bearings weren’t too bad its the swing arm bushes that are rooted. Thats a job for next time.
My bike looks crappy next to Motos so I won’t show you a pic
All work carried out while on the payroll
, gotta love Railcorp
4 mile is easy!
I thought it was 5 mile
Image if a bunch of Aussise carried on like that over in “their” country, we would be shot on the spot!
I have had a set of UHD tubes in my bike for over a year now and I have done heaps of riding without any dramas, they are Bridgestone. Lately I have been thinking about mousse but will continue with the tubes for now.
I think a properly set up bike and suspension helps a lot too.
The Kenda Tuff tubes are very thick, but expensive at $50 a pop when you can now get a mousse for $120
Happy bday Rocket 2 years old today????

Sounds like the float is stuck, probably from sitting around for too long before the first ride.
Give the bowl a tap with screwdriver or some other knocking implement that won’t cause too much damage and see if that fixes it.
BTW Alex you’re not that tall you’re just old
Protaper handlebars, Pastrana FMX/ATV Race are the highest bend, they are a bit narrower than normal.
On my 625 I ran these with a 25mm riser and the clamps in the most forward position. On my Berg I run the standard bars, I started with 25mm risers, recently reduced to 20mm but will be going to 15mm soon for better cornering. I also roll the bars forward in the clamps but thats just the way I like it.
The seat on the Berg is higher than the 625 so going from sitting to standing is not such an issue, I think lowering the pegs will make it get stuck in ruts a little easier.
When I get tired I use bumps on the trail to seat bounce up onto my feet.
This ride is less then 2 weeks away
Looks like Coreys imaginary friend Burnsy can’t make it, which sucks
Ev and I will be riding Sat and Sun, where and when I will leave up to Ev to let you know
