I don`t have moderator access in here :laugh:   That’s funny Eags! But seriously on the Flat battery issue I,m not sure if you have a Tapp Lite Power supply wired into your bike but I have also found that if left connected permanently to your battery it will drain it over time.
Cheers,
LeftNot overnight Lefty, normally takss two weeks to affect a good battery they say
TB
Yeah mate, I know I should have been clearer but it is just a reminder that it does happen with the Tapp Lites and if they are connected direct to keep your battery on float charge or disconnect them.

Hey Rach,
A lot of people ride the DR650’s on these type of rides and they’re a very reliable option indeed. I think TB did a thread on the build of Dejay’s DR650 when he had one. At least you don’t have to worry about radiators and fans when it goes pear shaped :blink:Cheers,

Not at all mate,,,
We had a good old online chat about YOU:laugh:
I did recommend that you buy yourself a SPOT tracker though so we can keep closer tabs on ya 😆Cheers
Yes its another item on a long list of must haves but not necessarily needs
Or maybe that is the one item that is a must have :pinch:
I would recommend one mate it is a good security blanket. I was sending custom messages regularly so the Mrs could see that all was ok  and not to cash in on the insurance just yet
It would have also been good so that Eags could let me know where you were  :laugh:Cheers,
LeftTechnically speaking Lefty, seeing as though we hadnt left the carpark and entered the course proper,
We weren’t lost   :pinch:
   Very true mate, true! But I did make a couple of calls through the day to Eags to try to find where you were. I’m glad all was good in the end though.
No go and charge that Flat BatteryThat’s not good to hear Snowy
All the best on your recovery.

LeftTwo day Nav Ride June 2013
For me the ride started on Friday afternoon with a quick run over the mountains to Mt Victoria then across to Bell and up the Bells line of road towards Lithgow. As I was leading a group of riders I thought that I would check out a section at the start of the ride that TB said was a small uphill section that was covered in tree roots followed by a steep downhill. I didn’t have any actual directions but had a fair idea of where we were heading. As it was I found the uphill section ok but took the wrong downhill fork in the road, however I thought to myself that it’s not too bad and started to head back towards the Commercial Hotel in Lithgow. As I was heading on back I bumped into Strucky and Crash as they were pre-running the 1st section of day one.
After booking in to the Commercial and meeting up with TB, Dejay and a few of the other fella’s who should wonder across………Mal 5.1 it was great to catch up and have a chat as I hadn’t seen him in ages and he is a genuine top bloke too. Well mal had to go so Dejay, who is another great bloke, and I decided it was time for a beer or 2 so to the bar we went!
After our beers we headed over to check out where everyone else was and it was onto GPS school being held by TB and Amy. It was great for the newby’s to get an insight into how to use their GPS’s properly and some guidance on how the maps are to be read and so on. I then maet up with James, Usi, Wigster and Isambard who were booked in to the group with me then I met up with RGB (Rob) and Ron who also would like to join. So no worries I said and we had a full house of six other riders in the group. Awesome!! :woohoo:
A good nights sleep was in order so off to bed at around 10,30pm ready for a 6.00am Breakfast!!
More Later……Left
A couple of small vids of Lefty’s Learners
