    Hi Nunes,
I’m not sure on a ’98 model Tenere, however if it has a frame like the one in the pics you will have to remove the swingarm pivot bolt as it also uses this as an engine mount.

    Lefty ;)

Ride it like ya stole it, up and down the gears, drop oil after an hour and then after 2 hours, get a magnetic sump plug if it doesn’t already come with it to pick up all the shit in the oil. The tolerances these days from the factories are so tight that you’d have to be real unlucky to F your bike up running it in no matter how you rode it. Just my opinion of course!

Yes I would have to agree Chris. Otherwise there would be warranty claims everywhere and the manufacturers would be in deep poo! The main things to do, as for all engines is change engine oil and filter and ensure your cooling system has no leaks (check hose clamps) or blockages to the radiators. Then Happy Days! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Just ride the bloody thing, just like your are going to ride it and all should be good I think. Oil change after the first ride, or couple of hours, what ever comes first.

Just don’t rev the shyte out of it or lugg it, seems to be a popular run in method, going on all the replies.

    Yeah Mick, I agree. ;)

    Have fun STM. B)

Yeah looks great TB. Looking at the Spot it looks as though you have been cutting a few laps around the top looking at the sites. Great pics and report. B)

How is the Dunlop D908 Rally Raid tyre going on the front? I think thats what you said you put on before you left. What did you fit to the Rear? Is it holding up OK?

Need to do it more than once I reckon Lefty this is my second and it’s good having a little idea what to expect. We are doing some different things and it’s changed heaps eh

Tomorrow is the big day given what we have been hearing about the telegraph track. Drowned enduro bikes, 4w4s etc as the creeks are up because of the late wet season finish.
We will suss it and deal with it ;) plenty of photos and helmet cam.
I booked us into Punsand bay camp area today and for the huge fresh caught sea food banquet Saturday night as well

    TB

    Hi TB,
Yes I reckon that your right, about doing it more than once. Also, not being ignorant but where does the telegraph track go to/from and how many km’s? Do you go further north or is Weipa as far as you go? What time do you plan to leave?
Also what has you fuel range been like? Have you had to carry more?

Say Hi to the guys for me and ride safe Gents. :woohoo:
