Can’t help but think but on the last Coffs ride if you bike didn’t spend so much time broken down sitting on it side stand it may not have broken  :P :pinch:

    TB

   You know what TB, I hate to say it, but you are right! It only broke when the f#&ken battery went flat and I was kicking the bastard.  :pinch:

In the 24 hour trial we cover 1000 km and it is like a trail ride. Transports at 80 km and stages using mostly bottom three gears. At the end my hour meter read 14 hrs run time. So I reckon you could work on 15 hrs per 1000 km.

1000km in 15hrs is pretty fast going. That is an average of around 66km/h. Probably a little fast for an average single track/trail type bike I would have thought.

It is diffucult to say Nick. Alot depends on the service history, how it has been ridden etc. You could have a bike/car with very little hrs/kms on it and if it has not been serviced at the correct intervals, oil changes etc. It could be 3 parts shagged or vice versa. It is really hard to judge sometimes. IMO

    Yes gents,
I had a problem with both my switches on the Coffs ride. I was able to clean and repair the momentary contact switch on the left and it now works fine. However the main RHS switch still reads around the 170ohm mark even when completely stripped and cleaned. I think she might be farked.

I had to give between the contacts a good rub / scratch with a small screwdriver to break the track that had been created  before the low resistance was broken, I had the meter connected to the plug wires whilst I cleaned so I could see when it was good ;)

    Adam.

Thanks Adam ;) I will give that a go

    Hey Nick,

Have you riden a 390 Husaberg? Great flat forgiving power delivery. Turn on a 5c piece. Feels as light as a 250. See if you can get to ride one it would be good get your opinion. IMO if i was to upgrade, after riding one it would be high on my list.

    Cheers,

    Brad,
If you have the manual that comes with the bike the best place to start with is the std clicker settings then adjust from there. If you dont have the manual you would be best start at the mid-point of the clicker range.

    Cheers,

    Lefty
