Thanks STM and Nick J for a great ride and weekend. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I must apologise to everone who rode yesterday for the hold up as my bike wouldn’t start. Found the problem and we were back on our way albeit with a route change. Sorry Scotty.

But in typical OBT style it was not a problem. ;)

Thanks again and I can’t wait for the next one. :woohoo:

    Cheers,

    Lefty

    Hey Murph,
I had steering issues with my 2008 KTM 450 as in dicated in a previous thread. The biggest problem that i had was that i rode a mates 2010 Husaberg. Shit they turn well!. So i went down and spoke to the guys at Tekniks and after spending a bit of coin I went to a progressive rate rear spring and revalved the front fork with a new piston and shim kit. I run my forks about 8mm through the triple clamps and was advised to run an air chamber height of 145mm and let the shims do the work in the fork. I was also advised to run the rider sag at 113-118mm using the progressive rate rear spring. My first ride with this set up will be at Coffs on the weekend so i will let you know how it goes.
I am also using Pirelli Scorpion MX Extra’s Front and Rear.
Clickers are back to Std but I will have a play up there.

PS; Dont ride a Berg eh! You will be really Pissed then!

    Cheers,
    Lefty

Needs to be pretty close Eags to allow suction mate. If there is to much gap the fan will pull air through the gap not the radiator. A strip of soft rubber or foam will give it a perfect seal make the fan more efficient and not wear the radiator

Absolutely TB! It is very important as the air will take the path of least resistance.

in reply to: Blaxland, Wauchope, Nundle and back 3 days 1400kms #211223

Yeah it was bloody awesome. :woohoo: I can’t wait for the next one. I think the unknown is what makes it and having to deal with the conditions as they arise. ;)

in reply to: Blaxland, Wauchope, Nundle and back 3 days 1400kms #211078

We got back to Blaxland at around 8PM all in tact. Thanks to everyone for a great weekend it was bloody awesome! :woohoo:

Well that mother of a hill was conquered by all (Down anyway!) It was pissing down so TB asked me to do a Recce. I went down the only problem was there was no way of letting the boys know that it was ok to come down. So the only way of telling the boys was to have a crack at getting back up. So I gave it a shot and made it 3/4 of the way back up to let the boys know that it was ok. Bloody tough though   Some great hardcore ADV riding!
I also managed to demonstrate to Micknmeld how to crash safely at 60km through a slippery concrete causeway. Bugger me It felt like a long crash. 😆 😆 :silly: :silly:

    Cheers the Leftone,

    Pics to follow later ;)

Now with Enduro Engineering Aluminium Guard fitted to protect oil fittings at the bottom which could easily be damaged if not protected. B)

Yeah, I agree thanks Eags.

in reply to: CPW Oil Cooler/Reservior for KTM EXC #210665

It also includes a case saver which goes over the top of the clutch slave cylinder. Unfortunately CPW were out of stock of these so i should have it next week. This gives the cooler 4 mounting points.
