Hey Jeffro,
Looks like you had a great ride mate with great weather too. Glad to see that you’re back on the bike. Good pics too.
The only thing is that riding through Barrington Tops reminds me of when I did my shoulder. Great place to ride though.

Leftyjimmy wrote:The mantra that gets repeated about a broken collar bone being a cheap price to be paid against a possible neck injury just doesnt add up to me. I know of no other “protective” device that causes other injuries in providing protection. I really have strong concerns about a device that can cause other injuries.
Surly these things need to be tested to an Australian standard.Hey Jimmy,
We may never know………….but i would prefer to be able to walk again, let alone ride a bike again in the event of a neck injury from bike riding (which me and my kids love) that prevented me from doing so. It is a piece of safety equipment that is optional and is designed to enhance the mandatory safety equipment that we use. Many people have decided to use one with the thought in mind that it may actually save them from a “SERIOUS” Injury and i am of the same view.
It is no different to wearing a seat belt in a vehicle………it “may” cause an injury in the unfortunate event of an impact. But i know what i would prefer.Lefty
Hi Nick,
They are not available for the Tenere at this stage but i will be speaking to them about manufacturing them for the Adv bike market.Hi Nathax,
I have been told Orange is available.Cheers,
LeftyHi All,
I will be placing an order tomorrow if anyone would like to place an order of a particular item. I should have the items here in about a week. Anodising may take a little longer if nil stock in the US.
Cheers,

Does the chain guide protector completely cover the guide or bolt up flush to it? Any on bike pics?Cheers

LeftyNo Ryno,
Body armour is optional. But if you wear a back protector a set of elbow guards is a good addition.

LeftyHey Ryno,
After witnessing a bad accident of a mate of mine back a couple of years ago, which he received multiple injuries and was very lucky to have not broken his neck. I use a Leatt all the time now as does my son. It goes on whenever i ride a bike now just like my helmet. Once it is adjusted correctly you don’t even know that it is on. I highly recommend wearing one. It is far better to break a collar bone than the possible alternative.

LeftyHey Guys,
Just a quick report on the Rev-Loc clutch. I used and abused it at Mt Seaview on the weekend and it was awesome, with no problems at all. It was useful in getting out of the bog hole that so many guys had trouble with.
Yeah i cheated.
Just ask Mick if it works ok. I am sure he would have seen a little roost and good drive when we followed the Juniors on our fast sweep run. Eh Mick.
Cheers,
