Hey Madge,
It’s all good mate. It was a great ride and glad you could come along.
from memory I think TB drinks Bundy and Lime and I am not sure what Chris drinks but I am sure he will let you know.
But seriously we all do the occasional school boy error but it turned out all good in the end. I am sure you will have all the goods on the next one.
Catch up then,The left one (Little man)
Thanks for an awesome day!!!!:woohoo: 180km of great riding and exploring new tracks with the odd hiil climb and a little dusty at times, but thats life. Thanks to everone who came along. It was a great ride and I had a blast. I only fell off twice (while stopped,
short man syndrome)
Some tracks are very boney/rocky and as TB has suggsted I would recommend to anyone wanting to do this ride to do yourself (and others) a favour and drop into Sutto,s and buy yourself a set of Michelin ULTRA HEAVY DUTY Tubes with at least a front spare with the tools to change one (if required). I put a pair in my bike and reckon they were awesome and had no problems all day, especially after the crap i was riding in sometimes.
A special thanks to TB for inviting and taking me and I can,t wait for the Birthday Ride. I am sure it will be awesome.Cheers,
LeftyNo probs mate, I am sure we will have a blast.
Btw Chris I heard Northy is the expert at filters………and he usually pays you to do them.
Happy Birthday mate, nearly 40 eh!
Catch up tomorrow!
Cheers,
Lefty
Hey TB,
I have found an aquaintance/mate that will be riding with us on Monday. Can’t wait. I should be over my man cold by then so should be all good for a days ride. As you have said I have fitted some new Michelin Ultra Heavy Duty tubes from Sutto’s so hopefully we will be all good.:woohoo: They are alot easier than my young blokes 14′ rear tyre. What a pain in the a*#e they are.
Looking forward to a top day.Btw the XR is looking good and ready to go.
Cheers,
Lefty
😆 😆 Yeah thuoght about that after i hit the send button, oops! May need your help on the trail one day. You may need a six pack per tyre when i change em.
But thats cool i will sort it.:S
Pee Wee track here i come.:cheer: :cheer:
Hey ther TB,
I have got a couple of new hoops for you to fit!!!  With ultra heavy duty tubes;) Oh thats right i want mine to stay inflated so i had better do it myself!
Thanks for the offer though:lol: 😆
Cheers,
Lefty
Hey TB,
You know i don’t have mates, I only have aquaintences. Because mates want to borrow your Car, Misses or worst still “BIKE” and they all usually come back F*#!$d. So am am still trying to organise an aquaintence. Will let you know tommorrow.
Cheers
The Left One
That’s right, it does help reduce pad knock off. Coming from a racing back ground……… The advantage of floating v,s fixed is that a fixed rotor is more likely to warp with extreme heat then creating pad knock off. Where as a floating rotor has room for expansion and contraction and is less likely to warp. Particularly if you are really hard on the picks then come into a deep creek crossing. The fixed rotor may warp due to the sudden quenching from the water. Floating are good for hard core fast guys. Not for wood-ducks like me.
Hope this helps.Cheers,
LeftyThanks to all inolved on the weekend. It was an awesome ride.
Cheers
