Nick, in what way would you like confirmation the work has been carried out.

    Just a yep or photos?

I think Mickp has got more to worry about me than me worrying about him. Every time I walk into his garage the bike is apart.

I also notice that you have the lowering kit for the pegs with the pegs forward of their original position.(looks that way in the photo)
I have mine mounted so the pegs lower and rearward.
    Have I got mine wrong.
If I have I think I will leave them there as they feel comfortable the way I have them.

    Cheers

It looks that way in the photo Maso. They are intended to move the pegs lower and rearwards as told to me by Vince Strang.

They might work forwards for some people though.

What about fitting a VSM case saver over the front sprocket. Might save the case in the unlikely event the chain breaks, easier to wash out when it gets really muddy and front sprocket wear can be seen at a glance.

    Wyong to Gundy 4 September

Only Tryhard and myself on the day. Beautiful day for a ride.

Went through Cooranbong, Quorrobolong. Had to back track around a locked gate just short of Kearsley. Went into the bush at Neath and came out on Majors Lane Lovedale and on to Branxton.

Just when you stop to have a leak in the middle of nowhere, this bloke turns up. DSCF1055.jpg

Lucky Tryhard and myself were out enduro riding the day before. We needed the practice with both of us hitting things so hard the fronts were bottoming.

    Surprise Rd………surprisingly rutted

    Finally on the dirt.

A few twists and turns and we were on the Albano Rd at Bowmans Creek and on to Gundy pub for a steak sanga.

The Alan River Bridge I think. Closed they reckon. Not for bikes.

And old mate admiring the mighty DR.

On the way back we slabbed it to Singleton, then went through the back of Wollombi to Laguna and Murrays Run and home.

The amount of tar was a bit much but unavoidable for a short day ride….unless maybe going west.

Good day anyway. Did about 450km.

Due to unpopular demand the start time is now 8am, so I can sleep in.

The route will be up to Albano Rd (Maybe lunch at Gundy pub) and back via Woolombi.

Just a thought Lotsa said he was having trouble with his, later I noticed he stores it in his jacket sleeve where I doubt it has the ability to keep a satellite signal

They do take a couple of minutes to reacquire a signal and that can make their performance sketchy, mines been fixed cause I mounted it correctly in the end.

    That’s right.
On the Northern Rivers ride I swaped the spot from the pouch in the top of my mule camelbak to the sleeve pouch on the arm of the BMW jacket, about halfway through the ride. I have also mounted it externally on the top of my camelbak in the past as well. It seems to miss sections with bad weather and dense canopy. I will try mounting it on the bike next although I like the idea of keeping it on me and easily reached if I do come a cropper and can’t get to the bike to push a button.

    Day one
After great bacon and egg rolls we left Nicks place and it struck me that some of the road names were pretty accurate. There was Long Gully Road that twisted down a long gully, Rocky Creek Road that ran along a rocky creek and North Rock Creek Road, which was north of that. Then Scrub Road, which was in very closed in with scrub and a few bog hole. I got a bit worried when I saw Snake Valley Road but thankfully there was only the biggest bull I have ever seen guarding the road. But I have to tell you, if Nick lead us down a road called Broke Back Mountain Road, I was out a there.

The river crossing. We didn’t want to see submerining ADV bikes

A road into the mountains. Always a good sign
    DSCF1015.jpg

    Day two
Glen Innes departure. A damp start to the day
    DSCF1021.jpg

It was twenty minutes of overcast sky and Nick pointed us to the only piece of blue sky and apart from a bit of hail over Ebor (I think) it was fine for the rest of the day.

    Regroup time
    DSCF1013.jpg

    Day three
We left Bellbrook minus Moose and found ourselves having lunch at the Amble Inn. From there we went north along the coast over great rocky and boggy trails.

I remember seeing MickP’s bike hit something on one of the rocky uphills and thinking, well I won’t take that line. That’s where you probably got the ding in your bash plate Mick.

A breath freshener back at Nick’s to finish off the ride and we were packed up and on our way.

Thanks to everyone for the great company and Nick for putting me up and leading duties.
