Tryhard may be keen for this ride. I’ll have a chat to him this Saturday while we are picking up the KTM690 he is buying. Hope I get a ride.

Quote:Just added the pic of Wayne MannorThey could have left the bloody caravan open for me. That big log out the front of the container was hollowed out for a dog kennel. I didn’t bother trying to sqeeze in there because I knew I’d be sleeping in one when I got home.

Quote:Great to see everything work out in the end!! Good on the boys that went with you to get it back. The boys did well. Especially Llewdaert and GavB who doubled me in. It only took us five hours or so but I think there were some sore bodies about. Great track.

Quote:Ian have you ridden Wallaroo on the north side of Buckets way? Everytime I head up the highway I notice the openings in the fence along there and have wondered if there is good riding there. Sunday I jumped on the Veestrom and headed up the highway for a look, there seem to be plenty of tracks there but I didn’t go too far in as there were a couple of boggy sections and I didn’t want to end up doing a Losta, sorry Wayne.
Jeffro, I started to get interested when I got to reading boggy sections. I’ll come and get you if you get stuck, especially after the DR recovery ride this Sunday.
Huskybloke, I’ve been meaning to have a ride up there with you one of these days….on the Kato
good to meet you on the Coffs Ride.
It would have been handy for sure. I knew I was OK but the last thing I wanted was for everyone else to worry about me. Had I had one, the wife would have seen on the pc and her web enabled phone, that I was moving at walking pace and would have known I was OK and I could have sent a non uregent message that I was OK.
My priority on the night was to get to a phone to call my wife before everyone was contacted to help. I knew I was only a Km from the farm house and would have made it by about midnight had my torch not run out of batteries.
I’ll be getting one.
PS. NickJ, it appears you spelt my name wrong, but I prefer your way,
Cheers

Quote:Ok this hurts….but here we go. I will not be leading the westerners version of the nabiac ride,I will however be working on a ride from nundle to gingers creek instead,
Nundle—nowendoc, over night stay,,nowendoc—-gingers creek, over night stay, and then back again.
it would take us 5 days to get to and from nabiac as we dont want to ride major roads if we can avoid it,and from gingers to nabiac and back to gingers is mostly main road type stuff,if some one want to take over the nundle nabiac run, feel free.
Boony
I’d be happy to take over the Nundle Nabiac run. I know this track through Stewarts Brook………….on second thoughts, maybe not.

Should have a 650 in my shed in the next two weeks so will keep you company next time mate. :blink:It’ll be good to ride with another DR650 Boulder and see how you will set it up.

Quote:Where’s the bloody picturesI did take a camera and went to use it for an arty shot of a rock strewn hill aroung Paynes Crossing. It has been playing up recently.
Unfortunately it didn’t work. I tried all the usual trail side camera repairs, pushing the on/off buton several times, bashing with my hand, throwing it on the ground and stomping it with a TCX Boot. None of these things fixed it.
Sorry Jeffro, no photos. But if you want to see it for yourself come along on the DR Recovery Ride this Saturday. See the ride post.
