    Thanks Lefty

Not looking good for June at this stage though. It’s a big ask for most people from work, relationships and money perspective.

It’s also a bit daunting for some………it’s a big ride. The more I look into it, on paper, the easier it seems.

The same as when I did the Simpson and Hay River track. It all works out in the end one way or another.

August is another window of opportunity, then it may have to wait till next year.

    lotsa

Oh Man!! need a bit more notice :( got all the electrics pulled apart on the XR and have other plans for Sunday. wouldve been a good ride though eh lotsa ?

would the 16 litre clarke tank be enough for this ride or would I need to get a fuel cell? can get close to 300km commuting into the City.

    Ollie

You need a fuel range of 350km Ollie. Do your sums for the 16lt Clarke tank. An XR650 would eat these trails.

    Sorry about the short notice.

Waynes bike was ploughing through fresh cow shits, and they were like exploding into the air either side of his bike like a grenade explosion. I decided that this is the riding I like- and I am a shameless hoon, more of an adventure idiot than anything.

Dud you run out on the old highway to knoddingbull or go the doyles river road route?

The Old Highway was the intended route but missed most of it and hit it where the track goes behind the armco on a sharp right hander. Becasue of time we went down Doyles River Rd. If we had taken the Old Highway we might have crossed that broken bridge creek easier. Knoddingbull was to be after Elands but lack of time, gave it a miss. Got home at 8pm as it was.

    Next time……..soon I hope

Did you guys sign the guidepost at the entrance to the broken bridge trail???? There must have been some water through there, that bridge was fine on our last cells ride!!! makes me wonder what condition the singles are in over there…

    Boony

I didn’t see a guidepost. Anyhow, I used up my texta from tagging a train last week

That broken bridge looked like it had the most damage from all the creek crossings we saw
