Count me in Moto and maybe a couple more.
Tryhard said he will decide on Friday. I might be keen for that race too. Pony Express isn’t it?
ST where the NSW enduro was held out near the Letter A would be a good workout.

Quote:I might go to this. Although paying $125 to ride where I ride for free every other week kinda goes against my principle!Just ride the weekend after. You can’t miss where they have been. Unless they cut new tracks, the last few rides I’ve done around there have been on the trails they will use anyway.
Moto, are you organising the Watagans Trial Bike Rally After Ride?
Sounds good TheRowen
What time do you expect to ride out of Chain Valley Bay rd???
Hey Therowan, could be keen.
How do you plan to get from Wallarah to Gwando area. It’s about 20km of tar by road.Murph the surf wrote:

MurphSorry guys, can’t make it. Playing horses with the wife…….and not in a sexual way, pity.
Have a good ride.
I’m a maybe. I’ll have a better idea tomorrow night. Maybe Tryhard too.???
I had a bit of a run through Wangi way a couple of years ago and went through a pipe that a rider could go through if they ducked their head down.
Great avatar Gav.
It looks like the one from the Buladelah Ride a few years back that you couldn’t find.
lotsa

Super ride and good to be back in the saddle after a 8 months spell. Nice to see you laughing for me eating gravel again;)After 8 months off the bike you were still in form.
I don’t know if it was you making the XR250 look good or the trusty XR making you look good.

Don’t do that to me Moto, I don’t think they would get up from one of your crashes.

Sounds like you’s had a good day out.
We ride those tracks alot as we are based at Rathmines.
The single from Dora is a great track with a few testing sections as is the other one on the other side of the freeway near Waki. There is another just north which runs along the side of the mountain that has a real snotty down hill at the end.
We will be riding that way again in a couple of weeks, might even post it and see if anyone else is keen.
Cheers
MurphSounds good Murph.
Post up and I’ll be there. I was looking for the ‘snotty down hill at the end’ track, but forgot where it was. If it is the one I am thinking of it has some largish loose rocks and runs between a couple of trees. Good photo op.
GavXR eyeing off his pie
Actually, we trailered the bikes to the Gap Servo wearing our riding gear and ate pies.
Thanks to all who went last weekend and to the young and old bulls that did the pushing and pulling to get the bikes through the tricky sections.
Great bunch of blokes and I had a great time.
I don’t think many photos were taken because we were too busy riding.
Where did we go?
Day 1 Easter Friday
Started from Lemon Tree at about 9.30am and went straight into the rocky uphill section of Tunks where the photos above are and reached Watagan Forest Road at the top. We missed the inpassable log section of Tunks so I don’t know if the logs are still down. They were a month ago.
We then followed single trail along Watagan Forrest Rd to the Pines and on to the Koala Trail and Letter A via some of the state enduro trails. It was a bit of tar to Jerry’s Garage for lunch and fuel and a chat with a highway cop who I assured we were all regoed and licenced.
Back to the letter A for some more state enduro trails. By this time I was getting weary so we altenated between main trail and single trail back to Tunks where it was easier going down than up. We were back at the cars at a bit after 5pm.
Day 2 Easter Saturday
Left from Lemon Tree a bit after 9am and headed off through Frog Hollow for a couple of steepish hills to start the day which everyone did easily. At 5 Ways we went down the snotty hill and did a few trails and another hill and then took Mandalong Rd to Tobins Rd and did the trails around the behives which took us back to 5 Ways.We scooted along the main track Lemon Tree Rd where I could hear different bikes coming up behind me so there must have been some action going on back there.
We went down some single trail to a rocky section where the Green Machines radiator decided leak. Holeshot wittled up a couple of plugs and we were on our way again up past Muirs Lookout and the old Nationals trails to The Pines.
A few single trails and we went down Wave Rock without incident bringing us out onto Watagan Creek Rd where there was another group of riders with a four stroke blowing lots of smoke. It had just been upside down on the trail that I was going to take if I couldn’t find Wave Rock. Lucky I found Wave Rock.
Followed Watagan Creek Rd for a bit then found the trail up the hill towards Millfield where we fueled the bikes. At the Ellalong pub we fueled ourselves. It was a bit of a wait for lunch but it was worth it. The meals are pretty big there.
Back to Paxton and up Cungewoi track which is hard going in one section. By this time storm clouds were coming and it was getting dark so we main trailed from Watagan Camping area back to Tunks which we went down with just enough light and back to the cars at 5.30pm.
cheers
