Bugger,,,Anyway I remember that Kamakazi Rocket was paired up with Me & Ace for the weekend, poor him
Welcome aboard KR, should be a hoot of a weekend, just bring your sense of adventure, your best navigation eyes and a cast iron gut:laugh:
Also saw that Steve (Wolfy) chimed in and has a couple of special guests coming along, Mr Payne from Yamaha Aus and Jason Barrett from Barrett Exhausts
Awsome
I also posted the link for the maybe proposed route I might take on the friday arvo to Mittagong,

Any other Hunter based riders have any other ideas or keen to hook up for the group ride down maybe.
Will probably change my departure time to 3pm (Newy area) to accommodate PTW if he is keen to ride rather than drive to Wisemans ,,, No real adventure in that and cuts the ride time way too shortThis will be a crackerjack run as TB sure knows how to peice together a terrific ADV route and thanks to him, we get to share it and follow along at our own pace
Bring it on, I can`t wait !!!!
I’ll be doing a similar route down eagle. Not sure what time though due to work. Would be good for the coasties to group down together
G’day Chris
There’s a bunch of stuff and this is probably half of what it should be
Clutch cable can become heavy pretty easily
Top chain roller rips out of frame and leaves a hole (good indication that it has been worked hard)
Choke lever moves smoothly, it can get water down it sometimes
Brake disc wear should reconcile with 15K km, foot pegs, brake and gear lever alsoUsual bearings: steering head, wheel bearings, swing arm bearings, shock linkage bearings (the bottom one closest to the engine case seems to go first), cush drive bearing (can cause all kinds of grief if it lets go and seldom checked by some) and on that note cush drive rubbers
Saw the after market muffler in the pics so look for flat spots through the rev range
Hope I’m not telling you to suck eggs but things to consider when purchasing older bikes and stuff you would replace or have a hard look at if you were planning an adventure ride
Good luck with the purchase
Hope to see you out on the trails
lotsa

I”ve got a spot two bought a couple of years ago and it works ok. It could be better in dense bush (the gps has no trouble). I mount it on my back pack strap which isn’t ideal by the instructions. There might be some data on my link on this site from a run though suburbia testing a bike if you havent seen what it produces
Stunning Kat, stunning
