But good thinking Jeffro. Thanks
Yeah I wouldn’t think the float level would change all of a sudden. But I’ll check it anyway.
Dick has some good points. I was thinking along the lines of fuel supply to Dick. As it never did it before I switched to resever and that’s the first time I have used reserve, so a bit of crap maybe restricting flow at the time of zero gravity.
Thanks guys.
I’ll be fine mate. I’ll have my DPS (Donna Postioning System) with me.
I looked.
Not sure if the look was worth the effort though.
Your right TB it is a nice XR and probably worth the money with all that safari gear.
See you there Mr Beemer.
Anyone else signed up yet mate?
mmmmm pies….. :woohoo:

Is it just to make the bike easier to ride with less manual controls?Does anyone here race/compete with one?
Being new to the two stroke world I found myself being more concerned with using the manual clutch than riding the bike. I stalled a fair bit and messed up a lot of corners and down hills. So I think your right Beemer it does make it easier for me to enjoy riding.
The other benefit is that the clutch engages at the same rate every time so I’m not worried about having to little or to much revs on board before letting the clutch out. As Boony said it’s sort of cheating.
I haven’t talked to anyone that uses one racing yet. I would be keen to hear their thoughts.

Dick says man up and learn to use your clutch in the way that the lord intended if you cant play chessI am sorry Dick but the retraction wont cut it this time. Here is the reply I typed while you had a good look at yourself.
Dick should not wonder too much about things Dick cannot control. All involved can and does us a clutch, just not in the conventional way Dick is use to. As Dick would already know the clutch is essentially operated by the right hand now.
All involved does not want training wheels. Training wheels are for professional use only and we all know Dick is the only professional here.
All involved has ‘maned up’ and learnt to use a clutch many moons ago. But all involved is interested in mechanics moving forward not lying stagnate in the 1920s. All involved also has a car with two electric operated clutches as proof of said interest.
If Dick wants to talk about what this ‘Lord’ intended then Dick should pm all involved and leave religion out of Old Bulls all together. All involved gave up chess at age 15 as there was no money to be made from the game way back then.
Dick this is a product review thread and derogatory remarks towards the person that takes the time to buy, install, take photos, take videos and post for all to read and comment on (good or bad), is not welcome. If you have a genuine question post it and I’ll answer the best I can, without any reference to this Lord you speak of.
Go to the cowpat thread and talk your third person crap!!!
Good job for a first year apprentice.
Would really sharpen up thier hand, eye, rotating machinery coordination.
Good find TB.
I remeber you were telling of your love of VW on Sunday over the bluetooth.

Go into the bathroom (for the echo effect) and yell “my arse is sore!!!” for about 4 hours and you’ll feel me on Sunday..
Only joking. It was a great weekend and we covered heaps of ground. Thanks again mate.
Good report Hatto.
I have a rear on my Sherco and it’s done about 800km and is just under 50% worn. I found it worked very well in rocky stuff we ride here, but now it’s worn a bit it seems to step out a bit quick on the hard packed sandy stuff. But if I roll off the throttle it bites in and straightens up. I did this three times in one day and that inpressed me.
I now have one on the back of the Husky (2 stroke) with about 200km on and the edge is just starting to show some wear. I’ve found it really good so far. I also have a front to go on the Husky soon and will use your pressure settings as a giude. I am hoping these tyres will last and grip well as I would like to use them for the A4DE.
Good value for the price.

Quote:Good to hear that the rekluse is working out for you Mal. I might scab a go of your bike one day (if ya dont mind) I would like to see how one goes in a 2 smoke. And no I am not thinking of getting rid of the WR.And Menace good choice of bike for Sammy – The TTR230 that KD had was a good bike, except for the suspension (a bit harsh so I was told ). Good low seat height though
and it’s a Yammie
No worries Dan, you can take the Husky for a spin. I wouldn’t mind a spin on your WR as I’ve never riden a WR450.

I’m getting a little worried as I’m typing this
Unlike the real A4DE, we can always cut sections out
Cheers
MurphYes Murph but in the A4DE you get a small rest every 2 hours or so for food, hydration and fuel. The rest guys have on your rides are when they fall off.
Yep Menace it’s both thumbs up, for me anyway.
It would be a good thing for Sammy as long as she knows it’s not a CVT and to keep it locked it. Show her how it works when you install the clutch and if she can understand how and why it works then it will be easy for her to use.
Good luck with it mate. When’s the TTR230 coming. That’s a good size bike for Sammy.
